Justin GrevichJune 26, 2016I was afraid that I was stuck in a sea of pilsners and other varieties limited by Reinheitsgebot. HERMAN turned out to be an oasis for a beer fanatic. A good selection of sour and barrel aged beers!

Bart is a very welcoming owner and beer afficionado. Stellar selection (probably largest in Berlin) of Belgian beers. Good talks too.

- This is my regular place in Berlin, the people are very diverse (ossies, expats, tourists) and very open for conversation. Love how Bart created a place for strangers to meet.

Bart, the owner of the bar, is a great person to chat with. Apparently he named the place after his late German teacher from school back home in Belgium. Herman's portrait is on the menu cover.
