- It takes 3+ hours to cross the border around Chinese New Year, if you're getting a van to the airport make sure you leave extra early to avoid the holiday traffic.
- Generally the Hong Kong side is much slower than the Chinese side in both directions. More agents, a line for those with young kids, and those who a not Chinese nationals would speed the process.
- Be sure to exchange your RMB to HKD on Shenzhen side (booths outside the terminal) - failed to find any currency exchange booths after passing HK customs clearance.
- Sometimes it even saves more time if you choose to apply for epass out of improvise rather than choosing to go through 5he long queue. The time for application is shorter, especially during weekend.
- Slightly cumbersome since the China side changed the process. Must go inside now. Leaving China not bad - the luggage can stay in the car. Entering China.. the luggage has to come inside with you.
- RUNNING LATE: Take the Cross-Border busses to arteries like MongKok/TST/CausewayBay as their frequency is better, HongKong side use the MTR.

- Most convenient and fastest way to go to HK airport from Panyu! Take CTS Bus from Panyu Hotel they take you through immigration in a Limousine, skipping all the lines.

- Shenzhen>HK, Money exchange & ATM available just outside the immigration building.
- Combined HK/SZ facility but the manual immigration queue on the SZ side can take ages.

- Leandro HauNovember 14, 2017Some officers take too long to check the passport for foreigners. Sometimes is fast and sometimes extremely slow.. Sometimes there is no special queue for foreigners.
- Come at the right time and it's a breeze. Come at the wrong time....... Watch the paint dry!
- If your luggage is big take van, it cost 150 rmb directly to the airport
- HeinzAugust 2, 2011Once at China immigration, try taking the Chinese national lanes. It's faster but take the risk of not being entertained by the officer and be asked to queue at the foreigners lane.
- Like every time crazy amount of people. I miss the time 15 years ago when there were nearly no people crossing the border
- Shorty lines this morning. China side less than 10 minutes waiting time. HK side less than 15 minutes. Lucky day or just the Wednesday?

- One2free 100hkd : BBM unlimited service Hongkong. One2free 88hkd unlimited internet data service. Buy in 7eleven or their own store.
- Come early in the AM (before 8:30) or late in evening (after 8) to avoid the lines.
- RETURN TICKETS are valid for 06 months , it's a 5HKD discount
- 6:45am or 5:45pm very few people. This can vary depending on time of year etc.

- Take Chinese lane no matter how big it is, it is still faster than foreigner lane. Average 4 minutes per foreigner vs 20 seconds per chinese
