- Wcg ChurchDecember 7, 2014Nice to have a second option for catching a flight out of Northern California & the Bay Area. Less hectic and convenient for traveling inside the USA for regional trips instead of international ones.Upvoted Feb 19
- This airport IS an international rating but has a total regional vibe to it! Always clean, staffers seem happy and smiling, and such a polished clean facility.Upvoted 3 days ago
- Beach PaceAugust 26, 2014Very clean and spacious airport. Plenty of food options. I like flying in & out of here. It's easy and close to downtown (10miles)
- The improvements to this airport are incredible. It is disheartening it doesn’t get more travelers to enjoy the amenities and design.
- Meg PrileyAugust 25, 2012Grab a coffee at Old Soul in the new wing, but drink it before you get to the security check or you'll have to toss a great cup of coffee. Mochas are delicious, as are the scones. Perfect travel fuel!
- JasonJanuary 26, 2015Invest in TSA Pre ✅ for $85. You'll speed through the security line quickly, get to leave your shoes on and your laptop in your bagUpvoted Mar 13
- Just had one of the best grilled artichokes ever. And an amazing salmon filet with a miso soy glaze. And it's shocking this good food was found in an airport. Esquire Grill, check it out.
- Lach TaylorSeptember 18, 2015You'd better have your gadgets charged, because Gates A1-5 share only 3 power outlets for the public, plus a couple inconspicuous ones scattered around at ankle height. So '80s!
- The giant geometric rabbit jumping through floors near baggage claim is a fun piece of art. Grab a pic from the escalator.
- Flying in or out of Northern California? Try Sacramento International Airport. It offers an easier experience than SFO. Much less traffic and fewer canceled flights due to fog.
- Jeanne Schmidt HerronJuly 1, 2013The new terminal for Southwest is beautiful, and functional, but space X stretch time in the morning for security, sometimes it's crazy!
- When you arrive at Terminal B, be sure to have your sunglasses ready for the tram ride to the main building. When you get off the tram, enjoy the three mosaics on the floor by Sacramento artists.
- This airport us a great regional resource... Makes far more sense to fly from SMF from many northern CA cities than Bay Area airports. The new terminal is quiet, calm, spacious.
- Been flying out this place since I was a kid and just keep getting better plus you can't beat strong free wifi w/decent priced drinks food &electrical outlets w/great art
- Departure from Terminal B. Note if you are on the west side (Southwest) or east side (alaska, american etc) when having someone pick you up.Upvoted Mar 2
- If you're in a hurry and driving yourself, park in the Daily A lot. You can walk to either terminal through the garage and it only costs $2 more than the economy lot!
- Get here early as the Terminal B security checkpoint will usually take about 20-30min to get through. And plan for an extra 20-30min if you want coffee from Starbucks.
- Nice, new looking airport. The giant rabbit statue in the main entrance to terminal B is worth a look
- Charles Demmon IINovember 21, 2013Take the time to look up at the ceiling when going down to baggage claim. Such beautiful architecture.
- Anderson ChengDecember 19, 2014the nicest thing in sacramento is probably the airport. free wifi and charging outlets everywhere!! pretty nice airport, clean bathrooms!
- Free WiFi is available. Plenty of breakfast food available as well. Jack's Urban Eats is a particularly good option.
- Welcome to Sacramento. The best cup of coffee (in my opinion) is waiting for you just off the tram on your left at @OldSoulCo.
- TWO MEN AND A TRUCKOctober 1, 2012If you're just picking someone up be careful of the hourly parking. It's $2 per half hour whether you're there half an hour or 5 minutes.
- La Bou in Terminal A has delicious breakfast sandwiches served all day! Plus you can get one with a drink for $10 which is nice in this kinda pricey airport food court.
- Ariela CarrilloApril 8, 2013There is a free parking lot if you have to wait long , the only thing is a bit far from the buildings ... But if you still have to wait long who cares , it's free!!!
- Valerie SMay 11, 2019A really pleasant, small airport! Clean, modern, and easy to navigate. Rarely long lines.
- When lots of flights arrive at the same time, grab the economy parking bus at the arrival side of Terminal A. The pickup closest to baggage claim will be a zoo. Trust me, you'll be glad you did.
- Early morning flights tend to have pretty slow lines at check in and security, make sure to give yourself time!
- Smaller airport with quick access inbound or outbound. Good option for Tahoe and Napa, not so great to get to Bay due to I-80 traffic.
- Charles ZinkSeptember 26, 2010After flying into and out of some of the nations largest airports, this one is still the best for people with laptops. Free charging bars, plus reasonably fast and secure WiFi for free.
- Have the cubano at the iron horse. Outlets at the waiting area to recharge
- A nice place to hang out, but the location is a bit noisy...airplanes seem to fly right overhead all the time.
- Mike Mahdavi NYC-LA-TEH-KISH * insta—> NYCPERSIANSDecember 27, 2016I'm used to much busier airports, it's a very easy going intl airport, there is no way you could miss your flight, it's as if your flight is the only flight out of there.
- National Car RentalOctober 7, 2012Early for your departure? Take advantage of the massage bar service available in Terminal A and B until 9 p.m., Sunday through Friday. Go on — you deserve it.
- Kelly SprinklesNovember 5, 2016Very easy to get around, not the big crowds I'm used at larger airports! Very relaxing.
- Jonny GothamMarch 27, 2016If you're transferring terminals, make sure you get going if you've only got an hour or so. The transfer has you walk across a parking lot, skybridge, tram, then you re-enter a TSA security checkpoint
- Mary TyeOctober 9, 2010Clarksburg is the closest wine tasting only 20 mins from Sac. They have amazing wines and over 15 wineries in the region. Stop at the Old Sugar Mill where there are 5 wineries in one spot
- Pro tip: When they say everything out of your pockets they mean EVERYTHING. Porno-scanners had a problem with the gum wrapper in my back pocket.
- Use the sky bridge and walk through the parking lot to connect between terminals A & B
- Svetlana KuzinaJune 11, 2015We love airports 'cuz they're impermanent. And inside of them, we are impermanent people.
- Yazmin WilliamsMay 10, 2012Southwest terminal is upgraded with seats that have cup holders and multiple areas to plug in! Also free wifi in airport!
- Kunal SalunkheNovember 8, 2012The supershuttle staff is inefficient...and their computerized system is a big goofup. I faced trouble 3 times in a row. Their computerized system doesn't show my 24 hour earlier reservation.
- Mark SorensonOctober 20, 2014If your boarding pass says "TSA Pre", you don't have to take off your shoes or take your computers out at security.
