Every time I go to NRT I stop at cafe Avion near gates 22-25 and get a teriyaki chicken and rice bowl. Enjoy the view from the window at the bar!

The Access Narita bus is one of the cheapest transport options to downtown Tokyo. Only 1000 yen, and it stops near Tokyo Station (for Yamanote Line, Shinkansen, etc.) and Ginza Station (for Subway)

There is a large public lounge in the basement of Terminal #2. Lots of chairs and plug-ins. Hardly anyone knows about the lounge. And a lot cooler than the oven in the Terminal #1 waiting area.

If you can't immediately check in to your hotel, spend the ¥1,000 (AUD$11.40) for the cleanest toilet/shower room you've ever seen. It's on the second floor here at the airport. You'll appreciate it.

Even if you arrive early for your flight, Terminal 1 has great shops and food before security + an observation deck. Shops not only have standard touristy knock knacks but also cool trendy gifts!

You can mail letters/postcards at the Information desks. Stamps can be bought at the duty free stores that have postcards, be sure to specify where you want it to go so you get enough postage.

Narita is really far from Tokyo, so it only makes sense for connections. Otherwise, make sure to fly into Haneda. The ticket might be more expensive, but you'll save time and money on transportation.

Great duty free. Avoid the long line at the main location by checking out the smaller satellite stores which offer almost all/ majority of what is available.

If you are United premiere, you'll be treated better at Narita than at any other airport in the world with your own lines for check in, security, baggage claim, and everything else. Great airport too.

Another Tokyo international Airport, actually it located in Chiba about 1-1,5 hour to Tokyo Station by train. This is the home ground for JAL & use for transit routes for many airways #TravelingTokyo

Free wifi and amazing showers on the 3rdF of the central building! More expensive than Haneda to go to Tokyo, but if you choose Narita you must try the super quiet, super confortable Skyliner to Tokyo

Pervasive efficiency and politeness. ATMs more frequent than it seems, many look unusual. Research SIM options carefully. Buses and trains are cheap and frequent, take advice from google maps.

Oct. 2021 - Only a few shops are open. When transiting, have your negative swab test result handy aside from passport and boarding pass. If going to the US, have the Attestation Form signed as well.

The Keisei Skyliner can get you to Ueno Station for about 2,557yen (as of Aug 2023). In my experience, this is the easiest way to get to Tokyo from Narita.
