- Jan SapperJanuary 17, 2015Don't bring anything you usually bring with you in other flights. Guatemalans are absurdly strict with mini knives and lighters. They'll be gone after they spot it.Upvoted Mar 25
- It's better to buy the handcrafts and souvenirs from the people at the gates just outside the airport. Their prices are better and people are much more kind :)Upvoted Apr 23

- If Your flight is early morning! Pay your airport exit fee! On check in floor. All the way to the end on the left corner! . Q20 or $3. Avoid long lines downstairs!

- Nice airport. Clean and modern. They really do need to put the monitors sitting idly by baggage claim carousels to work. You have to guess where your bags arrive.

- Mariana CampeloJanuary 2, 2015Very safe, only travelers can get in. Have passport and ticket ready to show at entrance. Beware crowd of souvenir sellers near main entrance. Best souvenir shops are after customs.
- Do not change money here, rates are too low, better doing it on your Hotel front desk.
- HeisenbergApril 6, 2010There are not good hot spots over here. The best place that i found was Pizza Hut, who has very nice tables but poor internet connection. Be careful before you order here, is quite of expensive.
