Sample some of the best wines in the world (no joke! I’ve been drinking 1st-growth Bordeaux for > 50 years), enjoy the view, and say thanks to the marvelously savvy and helpful staff.

A fantastic place to take in incredible views and drink extraordinary wine! We love it so much we wrote about it! http://blog.irrive.com/post/22127399096/ridge-vineyards-sonoma-county
It's quite a drive to get to the top (weak stomachs needs not apply), however the views are sweeping and wines are tasty. Be warned though that when they say they close at 5PM, they really do mean it.
Drive carefully. Narrow mountainroad and many bicycle riders are there. In cold winter day, road may be icy. Montebello collector membership gives you a good discount on wine and tasting.
