- Meri WilliamsMarch 5, 2013Go early or book in advance - we were lucky to grab a table at 6pm. Rose veal Wellington was absolutely gorgeous and the steak pie with marrow bone resplendent in the centre was amazing too!
- Mela MelOctober 10, 2014Don't got there without reservation unless you are happy to eat at the counter (which is great anyway). Good tasty food, had the crab custard (yummy), Parma ham and figs and the 7 hour lamb, delicious
- Alex BosworthJuly 7, 2019The chicken pie is pretty huge, they recommend it for two people but three or four would probably be better so you could enjoy drinks and other dishes
- Phil KenchAugust 8, 2014Even when it looks rammed, there are spaces at the bar where you can eat or just have a pitcher of wine. The bar downstairs has some comfy chairs and feels cosy
- New York HabitatMarch 22, 2012Be sure to book in advance because this traditional British restaurant is popular! The menu is seasonal so it changes all the time. If you’re feeling adventurous go for the daily special!
- Marsh MallowNovember 25, 2016Definitely, try the Wellington! Expensive but really really really good. High quality for a good price. Make a reservation for it's always very busy.
- Don’t leave without trying the seven-hour lamb shoulder and gratin dauphinoise for three. You won’t regret it.
- GloverboySeptember 29, 2011If it's on offer, don't think twice about the chicken and leak pie for two. Piping hot and fresh from the oven, the pastry was a fantastic suet-crust.
- Alexander LobovJune 12, 2018The food is fantastic but not sure if it makes up for the super weird service and the extreme loudness of this place.
- Ton ZijlstraAugust 22, 2013British food from local ingredients but then really well done. friendly staff and service
- Amazing bar/ restaurant. Drink wine by the carafe, sit outside in summer. It's busy so book if u can
- Chloe L.February 2, 2013The 7-hr lamb is supposedly for four-ish. But closer to 6. Anyways, it is to die for!

- Carol ArthurDecember 3, 2010Pheasant pie to die for. Terrific place with bags of atmosphere. We ate at the bar - if you want a table best to book.
- Richard CossinsMarch 17, 2011One of the best gastropubs around - rib of beef, chips and mustard won't get much better than this in London
- Laissez FareDecember 4, 2009GQS succeeds in cooking up simple but tasty British food that changes with the seasons. The place is simply decorated, the staff is fairly knowledgeable and the food is pretty good. Read more
