- If you have a long layover between flights, Head over to E-5 in United's beautiful international terminal. The view is outstanding. You can watch aircraft depart three different runways from this hereUpvoted 1 week ago
- Rebecca MorehiserNovember 28, 2012Pedestrian travelers beware the fleet of high-speed transport vehicles barreling haphazardly through the terminal. "To your left! To the right! In the middle!" It's like a game of Frogger out there.Upvoted 22 hours ago
- If you are arriving on an international flight be sure you plan plenty of time if you are connecting in Houston. Long lines in immigration and customs take a very long time to process through.Upvoted 10 hours ago

- Paola RiosJune 17, 2018Terminal C has a BAZAAR food hall with plenty of vegan and vegetarian options :-)
- Mary AndersonNovember 23, 2015It's a big airport with free wifi! Terminal E has the best food spots like CatCora's, Cinnabon, sushi place, Pappasito's cantina and many others! It also has nice stores and a large seating area
- It’s big. Lots of food and shopping options. I’m traveling with my elderly mom and they did a terrific job getting us from the curb to the gate.Upvoted Feb 22
- Martin WeigertMay 13, 2017Dedicated ESTA terminals at immigration, which means that those eligible could get through immigration within 10 minutes (I did). Also, United/ANA check baggage through for international transit!
- LMSRAugust 10, 2013Arrived at 9:30pm and all restaurants and food cafes were shutting down. There was only one food stand in terminal B with wraps and a McDonalds. Of course our choice was to get the wraps!
- If it's your first time driving in there to drop/pick-up, lay out your strategic battle plan beforehand, or risk being forever lost in this concrete Charlie Foxtrot of roads and sudden passageways.
- If you're in Terminal A get a shoeshine from Clifford. He will deliver one of the best shoeshines you'll ever get, but an even better conversation. Don't forget the tip.
- Big airport with lots of food and shopping options. It’s one of the main hubs for United. One may take a while changing terminals!
- Tobias KemperSeptember 16, 2013Next stop San Francisco? Check https://foursquare.com/tek/list/free-wifi--power-in-san-francisco for a list of places with free Wifi AND power outlets to work from in San Francisco.
- Janette HJuly 6, 2019Ive been to a LOT of airports, and this one has far and away the friendliest (while still thorough) TSA/security staff ever. I mean I made like 7 friends on my way through Customs kind of friendly.

- Readiness KNovember 7, 2016If you have the time, go to Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen in Terminal E (near gate E4)!Upvoted Jan 11
- Lucretia PruittNovember 22, 2014If you want a quiet space to work or just get away from the throngs of people, the D Concourse seems to be ideal. Especially D1
- Be sure to allow enough time to actually make your connection. Also wear comfortable shoes because you are still gonna have to run.
- Travis LibertySeptember 14, 2013It's like a long International boarding process regardless for every size aircraft or destination. I can swear I think United must had hired Southwest to implement their cattle call experience...LOL
- The Real Food Company in Terminal C is some of the best Airport food we've ever had! Lots of fresh, hot selections. Try the Monte Cristo grilled sandwich!
- The new C terminal extension is state of the art and a totally different experience with connected tablets everywhere for waiting passengers to use. Nice upgrade IAH.
- This is a big airport with lots of amenities. Great restaurants if you arrive early or have a long layover. The downer: NO FREE WIFI!
- Clau HLJanuary 3, 2015Good chinese food near the boarding gate in terminal 1. The staff is super friendly, I felt just a little dizzy and they called the doctor of the airport to come see me 😦
- Newly renovated terminals offer a great restaurant selection and plenty of seating. Shopping is a bit sparse but has enough nicknack stores to please.
- Compared to others, it doesn't have enough signs to keep you on track. For instance, when you disembark the plane, & you're looking for baggage claim, there's no sign to help you turn left or right
- Delta Airlines has some of the most churlish staff there is. This one in particular has no clue how to talk to customers. It's unreal.
- Put on your walking shoes! There are sky trains that will get you from terminal to terminal that is inside security. There’s also a Disney tram in the basement that is outside of security.
- Adrian PhillipsSeptember 8, 2016Flew United and was a big fan of all the food and beverage options in Terminal 3. There's a great little sushi spot in the older part of the Terminal near the C Gates.
- Kristine RoqueJuly 16, 2013If you're waiting for your flight around the C-43ish gate area, you NEED to go to UpperCrest. They have the BEST fresh baguette sandwiches. No lie. Seriously wish they had one where I lived!
- This airport is HUGE - very interesting to see all the many people, restaurants and shops. This airport opened me up to a whole different world.
- A HazetJune 4, 2017Typical state airport "the big is beautiful", good but not as artistic as other airport in asia or midlle east. Far from city center & not many option to use public transport #TravelingUS #Texas
- If you're connecting from abroad and have Pre-check/Global Entry, skip the security lines by exiting to the left of the connecting bag area and taking the elevator up to the precheck line.
- Very clean, open, and bright atmosphere. I always like coming through this airport and getting a coffee and a copy of the New York Times at Starbuck before stepping on the plane.
- Arthur RimboldOctober 31, 2016The wide amount of amenities and the ease of getting around the five germinal multi hub airport
- Frank DenbowApril 25, 2015If you are flying on a Saturday make sure it's super early or super late, else you will have a 45 min customs line
- I love terminals E and B 12-28 gates area for they have a shopping Galleria Mall kind of stores all over the beautiful facilities.
- Katy IrvingOctober 24, 2010Relax @ le grand comptoir: my husband thinks the food is ropey & the wine is pedestrian, but I think the atmosphere & wine are lovely! Have a glass of sparkling to feel like royalty before you fly!
- stephen malyFebruary 16, 2015Good airport, friendly staff. United lounge by gate C is great. From the UK watch out if you need to take money out as the ATMs aren't compatible with UK chip and pin cards.
- Laur Lo SkiJune 1, 2016Still one of my favorite connection airports. Much easier to maneuver than Atlanta or Charlotte. One of 4 airports that Baton Rouge connects in and out of.
- JenniferOctober 6, 2013My mother has bad knees and can't walk long and the people here have been lovely and helpful. We got a ride all the way from our check in to the gate and help through security.
- Lots of good food options...I like The Breakfast Klub. If you’re flying United out of terminal A and need to check a bag, you need to go to terminal B to do it.
- While in the lower numbered C terminal and looking for a diner type atmosphere for breakfast I go to Bubba's for an omelette and coffee.
- Corey ManiconeAugust 7, 2014Outstanding food here. Try and get some BBQ if you have time in between flights.
- Melissa ThamesAugust 26, 2014If you have the time Pappadeaux is awesome. Seafood is really good, we have even stopped after arriving back home.
- Mohammed AlrabahDecember 26, 2015Huge Airport but very organized, make sure you wear comfortable shoes. 23 miles north of Downtown Houston. The largest hub for United Airlines.
- Karen JohnsonJuly 21, 2017This is a huge airport, with lots of shops & kiosks & restaurants, including Papadeaux Seafood Restaurant. Terminal E is United Airlines section.
- Between Terminal C & E there is a food court. In the back, you'll find Pappasitos where you can get AWESOME breakfast and fajitas later in the day. Highly recommend--real local Tex-Mex.
- Flynn JonesFebruary 1, 2019This airport has nice shops and restaurants inside, two priority pass lounges, and it's quick to transfer to other terminals with the sky train. It's solid!
