Try to find the fried guacamole...only 1 booth has it, but it is the best fried fair food I've ever had. The fried beer was revolting, I wanted to spit it up on the carny that sold it to me

Cheapest non-beer beverages are near the front gate: $1 bottled water/soda at the Women's Museum and $1 water at DAR House. Take a look around while you're there!

Visit the Museum of Nature & Science while you're at the State Fair. Science building admission is FREE and nature building admission is just $1 w/ State Fair admission. Lots to explore!

It’s a must see for Texans and for all Americans. Entry prices are good. Food prices are a mixed bag. Food is mostly solid. Entertainment is everywhere. You’ll have fun for sure. It’s big.

If you're in Dallas from late September to mid-October, head to the State Fair for food, concerts, animal rides, flower shows and a 200-foot-tall ferris wheel.

You have to get the roasted corn from Darn Good Corn located on the south end of the stadium right in front of the cell tower. DELICIOUS!!

fried guacamole is the shiznit. kinda hard to find. the only stand that sells it is in a weird corner by itself right beside the bungee thing in the thrillway.

Take the free guided tour of the livestock barns. If there's a livestock show going on, stop and watch for a few minutes.

Be sure and check out the Planetarium for a $2 show. Also the Museum of Nature & Science has a great IMAX with Sea Monsters for $5!!!
