One of the most impressively beautiful building of the middle age. In a perfect condition. Walk from the beach to the top of the monument. You get there from the parking place via a free bus shuttle.
Day 7 - Leaving little wonder why this UNESCO World Heritage site is considered a Wonder of the Western World. The first church built in the 8th century, the island served as monastery & fortress
Excellent place to spend 24 hours. Medieval castle, beautiful sites of the Ocean and wonderful views. It took us a day, but I would spend a night there😍
It's a long drive from Paris, but this place is incredible. I recommend staying in Normandy. Apparently there are hotels in the island. Check the tide table. They say that watching the tide is nice.
Really incredible place ! Nice view of ocean 🌊 ! Interesting narrow streets ! But too commercial ! Shops and people are everywhere ! To be honest I liked La Cite de Carcassone much more !
Do come during winter or spring with nice weather. Do, do the walk along the bridge towards the Saint Michel... Bring a pair of slippers to do the beach walk around for better photos...
Yes it’s a tourist trap, but there’s not a reason to stay away. Spend the night so you have a more quite Mont, and be sure to walk around to the backside for an unbelievable sunset of your dreams.
Amazing place, nothing to add. Visit offer 17:30 to avoid tourist crowds. Only one toilet available to tourists on the island (see that queue right next to entrance?). More WC in the Abby.
Amazing place to look at, but not that interesting to go into. It's all fast food, restaurants and souvenir shops. Prepare to walk a lot, even if you take a navette out and back.
Very nice place... but its over touristique: walk or take an electric bus, over crowded place. So book a hotelon the siye, and enjoy the evening and mornings.
Don't believe those who say it's not so bad (in July and August). This is not a depiction of the Exodus, these are the people wanting to leave the island, in line for the bus.
