Take the view point at the Humboldt Hain, its green, its free, ists history (ex Aircraft Defence Station 2ndWW)

Christiane OrtleppOctober 11, 2012The park itself is very nice and beautiful. But the supposed to be dog run is way too small and right next to a big street. Not so good for dog owners like me ._.
zityboyApril 18, 2016Man kann hier toll trainieren oder auch einfach nur entspannen. Leider lassen oftmals viele Leute ihren Müll liegen! Muss nicht sein. Spannend sind die Flaks und der nette Rosengarten.
- Hier standen im zweiten Weltkrieg zwei große Flaktürme. Der eine ist weg, der andere teilweise sichtbar. Alle Hügel sind aufgeschüttete Trümmer.

Auf den Flaktürmen hat man eine tolle Aussicht über die Umgebung. Vor allem bei Sonnenuntergang.- An der Brunnenstraße stand bis kurz vor Kriegsende die Himmelfahrtkirche. Letzte kleine Reste sind hier inkl. einer Informationstafel zu finden.

Der Volkspark Humboldthain liegt im Ortsteil Gesundbrunnen und steht als Gartendenkmal unter Schutz. Neben den mit vielen Bäumen und Sträuchern bewachsenen Bunkerbergen prägen den heutigen Volkspark Humboldthain insbesondere ausgedehnte Spiel- und Liegewiesen.
