Love this aeroport. People are friendly, great selection of souvenirs, art stores that sells handcrafted home goods and clothes, and their best chocolates.
One of the best airports I've been to. Clean, nice people, free wifi everywhere. Johnny Rockets and Outback Joe both available (before and after immigration) 😍
Might be the nicest airport I have traveled thru. Gate seating areas have lots of power plugs with USB ports; small but decent shopping area, and a nice bar near the A gates. And a TGI Friday's!
Bring your own water bottle cause a small water bottle hear costs 3 dollars, 6 times more the regular price plus there are water fountains for free refills but you need your own water bottle
Bring oxygen! Its wayyyyy up there. I love this airport. Very clean, can't wait to go here for vacation other than work. Terminal is spotless. Highly recommended!

International terminal is great. Got here at 4a and everything was already open. If you're looking to buy chocolate, it's cheaper here than at the stores in Quito.
Experiencing from the previous airport it really boosts. Nice spaces. Recomend to plan 1:30 hours ahead to arrive without rush. Nice shopping accross domestic terminal.
If you're trying to burn time, the airportplaza across the street is way better than sitting in the actual airport. Cleaner with ac, free WiFi, and more restaurants/cafes to loiter at.
Buyer beware! The only place to buy a SIM card is by the baggage belts despite the place being covered in Movistar branding. They wanted 50USD for 15 days. The same costs 5-10USD in the city.
make sure you bought the $1 bag for your liquids. also, they will try ro steal any nice parfume you bring w you theough security, even if its small... watch out
Arrival area is smaller than the old airport, customs is very, very slow. Departure is very nice, large open spaces. Access to the airport from Quito is 1-1:30 hours so plan ahead, lots of traffic.
Wi-fi didn't seem to work in the domestic arrivals. And not much there in terms of food options. International terminal is where all the good stuff is!
If you have an early morning flight, be advised that the check-in counters and exit customs don't open until 03h30 at the earliest. A cab from the city should be $25-30. There's basically nothing here
It’s clean and new other than that service is mediocre and slow. If you are in a rush don’t order food in any place inside the terminal. No sense of urgency what so ever.
Save your $16.80 and don't visit the VIP lounge on the national flight side of the airport. There is nothing VIP about the experience. The attendants of the lounge are not friendly at all.
Be aware of your luggage once you exit the terminal. Kids will approach you asking for a tip for helping you carry your luggage. Let the airport employees help you, they wear a uniform
New-ish and clean but that’s it. Cash payment for luggage carts sucks, especially if you arrive without loose change in USD. The airlines don’t offer lounge access on domestic flights. Not cool!
The worst customs in the world if you are coming to Quito for pleasure wait until the new airport opens you can spend up to 3 hours to be on the street! People in this country Is Slow!
