Famous California pier, the amusement park is shown in lots of movies & shows. The boardwalk Also marks the end of Route 66, best muscle shirts found here, try a mixed fruit cup, feed a sea lion too.

The best sunset I have ever experienced. great beach with miles and miles of sand. clean and tidy. no alcohol allowed so be careful otherwise the police patrol will warn u:)

The third street promenade and Santa Monica pier are iconic Los Angeles landmarks that you can't miss. Parking in the public lots is free for the first three hours.

This is one of the best places to be when it’s summer in L.A. Once I played Skee Ball and earned 12,000 tickets! All I got was a plastic whistle, but still.

Iconic. Even if you don't mean to stop here, you probably will by accident. The boardwalk, carousel, popcorn, Thursday night summer concerts, and/or the corndogs are basically magnetic.

Sunset is a popular time, but many leave once the sun is down so for a slightly less hectic experience plan on arriving 30 minutes after sunset and instead looking for a waxing crescent moon!

All things Cali are represented at the Pier. Good food, one of a kind view of the ocean, lots of entertainment and space to walk around. The people watching isn't bad either. Definitely a must do

Better to visit this pier when it's warmer out. Amazing place to enjoy a stroll by the beach, play games at the arcade and ride kiddie rides at the carnival with friends or a sig other.

This is a great family-friendly place that is mixed with both amusement park rides and games, and it's good for a romantic stroll around the pier! There are breathtaking views of the sunsets, too!

Perfect spot to enjoy a tranquil night on the beach, especially towards tower 27, away from the pier. If you want a lively night of fun visit Pacific Park amusement park on the Pier.

Beautiful ocean views, plenty of shops to check out or eat some food. Tourists and locals. Sometimes have seasonal events. Pay parking. Walk further for free parking. Fun, busy, family-friendly vibe.

Enjoyed it. Easy parking, lots to see, pretty clean. 4-5 restaurants and carnival food to choose from. Souvenir shops are sub par. Rides are good

If you want to have a fun night and hit some rides this is a very good alternative if you don’t want to spend all of your money at Disney Land. Don’t ride the roller coaster if you have back problems.

This is an absolute great place to take someone on a date. Romantic beach, Ferris wheel, games, breath taking view and places to eat for everyone. Great romantic spot!

The Santa Monica Pier is great, day or night. Go on rides, eat tons of cotton candy, play games in the arcade, do some light painting with the neon-lit ferris wheel...the list is endless! Just go!

There is a small mall off the third street promenade. It has decent bathrooms (2nd floor) and places to sit in the shade on both floors if you are tired from wandering around.

Always a fun time, Lots to see and do. People watching is great, usually crowded. Place to be when the grunion (fish) are running. Avoid SM Pier Seafood, there are much better places to eat there.

Kiddy rides and barker games. The unlimited bracelets are a better deal than single rides. Our kids liked the roller coaster and the balloon carousel

One of the best places I visited while in LA. The entire time I thought about why a great time my kids (ages 7,10,16) would have had. Many beautiful sites and activities.

It’s a little tacky but super fun. Beautiful views. Rent a bike if you have time. The rides are fun too.
