There's no need to get tickets to the sky terrace. There are two free options to get vantage view. One is the Lion View Point. The other is the rooftop of the building opposite.

This tip is simple: If you arrive early in the morning (before 9am), you will walk right on to the tram and be up to the peak in less than 15 minutes. In the afternoon, the line can exceed 2 hours.

It's a funicular railway in HK, which carries both tourists and residents to the upper levels of HK. Offers good views over the skyscrapers of HK. Welcome traveler to ask me questions about HK.

Ever heard of the Peak Tram illusion? Going up or down, you're facing uphill and get the impression the skyscrapers are falling towards the peak. Take the tram to experience the illusion. It's real!

For a great view you should go around 6 pm so that you can watch the city with daylight and also at night. But dont forget that the waiting time can be 1-2 hours :/

Take bus 15 up to the peak & the tram down. The view by bus is amazing! Then take bus 15C to Central ferry. It's the open air double decked bus!

Arrive early! Lines form by 10 a.m; get there soon after the tram starts running at 7 a.m. After reaching the terminus, take a hard right onto Lugard Road for a stroll around Victoria Peak.

Queue can be very long. Best come in the morning. Amazing views on the way up and at the top. The viewing deck is worth the extra.

Lines get crazy long later in the day. It drops you off into a mall (I know, more malls). The tram ticket gets you free entry to the viewing at the top of the mall.

Don't get scared by the number of people in the queue as tram goes by every 8 mins and it has a capacity of 120 people. Fight your way for the place at the right side to have view

The night view up here is really fabulous! But they really have to do something to control the disciplin of the queue! Have been queuing for close to an hour due to the cutting queue of 'others'

If the line goes across the street, just don't bother waiting and take a bus. Also, if you haven't got Madame Tussaud's tickets and want to see, go buy the HK$280 combo. Your time worth more than that

Great view from the tram but Don't bother with the sky pass or the return trip. Just buy a single trip to go up is enough. Then on the way down just take the bus number 15. It's cheaper and faster

The Big Bus Tours charges HKD320 per pax for a 24 hour ride across Stanley, Aberdeen and Kowloon. This is one of the stops and it includes Peak Tram fares to the top.

Unless you have kids who will like the tram, I'd say skip and take a cab. It's hot, you can't see much and the steep incline made me feel sea sick.

From the "approx waiting time 1 hour" sign, the wait is almost exactly two hours. If you can, arrange your ride in advance with a travel agent to get in the fast line.
