This tip is simple: If you arrive early in the morning (before 9am), you will walk right on to the tram and be up to the peak in less than 15 minutes. In the afternoon, the line can exceed 2 hours.

If the line goes across the street, just don't bother waiting and take a bus. Also, if you haven't got Madame Tussaud's tickets and want to see, go buy the HK$280 combo. Your time worth more than that

The night view up here is really fabulous! But they really have to do something to control the disciplin of the queue! Have been queuing for close to an hour due to the cutting queue of 'others'
Great view from the tram but Don't bother with the sky pass or the return trip. Just buy a single trip to go up is enough. Then on the way down just take the bus number 15. It's cheaper and faster
Don't get scared by the number of people in the queue as tram goes by every 8 mins and it has a capacity of 120 people. Fight your way for the place at the right side to have view
Doesn't really matter if you buy ticket here or online, waiting time will be the same! Try to comes as early as possible to avoid the crowds, trust me!
From the "approx waiting time 1 hour" sign, the wait is almost exactly two hours. If you can, arrange your ride in advance with a travel agent to get in the fast line.
