Get a Kroger plus card. Easy way to save some money on gas.

Bring your own shopping bags every time you shop. Keep plastic and paper bags out of landfills.
This Kroger is notoriously awful. It's 8:30 in the morning and when attempting to check out I stood in an empty lane with three different employees looking at me. No one came to ring me up. I left.
Use your kroger card to buy gift cards for place like Best Buy or Subway and use the points towards gas off there!
Use a mini-cart for your groceries. They get better gas mileage. They're usually only kept at the right entrance doors.
