The main show is not worth waiting for. We were in a perfect spot & I still think they could've done better. Tip: stand by the white fence on the top next to the restaurant to get a good view.
They changed the entire entrance, and in my opinion, it is WAY BETTER! Sooooo cute now. Although I will miss the big California letters out front. Oh and definitely make a trip to cars land, unreal!
In Cars Land, stop by the cone shaped snack stand for a vodkalemonade with whipped berrysherbet on top! And even if you don't love the movie, the Cars ride is incredibly high quality. Do it.
Love Soaring Over the World and California Screaming. Love drinks at Carthay Circle and the Cove Bar. Soft Serve over near the boardwalk is also sooo good. Apple Freeze from Cars Land is a must.
If you're planning on seeing World of Color (which you should. It's magical) make sure you get a pass for it as soon as the park opens over by grizzly river run! They can run out fast!
Make sure you're early. Get Fast Pass tickets first before you start with all the rides. With Fast Pass, there's no waiting. It will tell you what time you can come back. Don't miss World of Color.
Great for groups or even coming alone. There's always something to do. The wait times are a bit of a bore but the views, rides, food and drinks make up for it
Stumble upon this revelation: go on a random day during the week, on a random week in the year, and avoid lines for everything! We picked the perfect day to go. Thursday, Feb. 27. It was great!
You have to check out all of the new things they have here! The new restaurant Carthay Circle is definitely a highlight. Amazing cocktails! And the Cars Ride is my new favorite thing at Disney!!
Guardians Of The Galaxy Mission Breakout and The Little Mermaid Ride were my favorites <3 If you get the chance to catch Paint The Night Parade, you'll be in luck!
The renovation is complete and DCA has become a great park to visit. The new Buena Vista street and Cars Land are amazing areas to visit. Make sure to get a Fastpass early for Radiator Springs Racers.
Tower of Terror is terrifying - you should try it. World of Colors is a great show - get a Fast Pass near Rushing River and come in good time. Be prepared to stand for a long time though.
World of Color is so worth it! If you can get the premium seating do it, otherwise get a fast pass for a section to stand in. Look out for the splash zone, they really mean it.
Get in line an hour early for world of color and if you don't mind getting wet, head for the very front. The middle is what everyone tries for. I'm always front row holding on the the fence, good view
Love the family environment. Staying at Disney Grand Lodge has it perks... early morning in at Disneyland and California. To avoid lines into the park.. avoid taking bags of any sort.
World of Color my most loved Disney experience, and the first thing you need to do is go to Grizzly River Run and grab a fast pass for this in the very early morning!
Allowing guests to consume alcohol in the park makes this a very different experience than Disneyland. This park is not family friendly compared to Disneyland...too much drinking!
If you've visited this park in the past, it's 1000x better after this new update. Its finally up to a Disney standard. Beware longer lines and bigger crowds right now bc of the season and updates!
Awesome place, nice to see the decor representing different parts of California. The grizzly river run is fun. Win easy prizes on the MIDWAY. You must see the water show at night. Get a FP for it!!
Get your fastpass to Radiator Springs Racers immediately. Hit popular rides when parade/shows start. Grab beer/wine at Paradise Pier. First Aid is available at front of park.
Great park. So much better than Disneyland. Whole family were sorry we did not spend our 2 days here. Could do a full day in the Paradise pier area. Really good.
DCA serves alcohol, which is great for a New Year's Eve celebration! (That is, if you don't mind the crowds). Try the pomegranatelimeade with vodka at the CozyCones in Cars Land =)
Love this place, I definitely feel like a kid. This has bigger walking space then Disneyland, so it's not as crowded. Can't wait to go on Sunday!!! #AnnualPassHolder
Use fast passes strategically. Dash to the back of the park for Splash Mountain and other rides, then come back to the front of the park to use your FastPass once the initial hubbub has died down.
Believe it or not: best value for the $$ on food is the Carthay Circle lounge. Not too pricey when you consider the quality and compare it to what you get at any concession stand in the park.
Best bonus to the annual pass! I personally prefer the original Disneyland, but waits are shorter here and the fast pass system is unique to each park.
Do Grizzly River Rapids early in the day, when lines are shorter, and you have time to dry out. Also, the lineRadiator Springs Racers is fairlyshort if you head there as soon as the park opens.
If you have a Chase Disney Visa or Debit card participate in the free character Meet N' Greet behind the House of Cards in the back of Hollywood Land. Once done, redeem your free photo print.
A fun addition to Disneyland. For a *slightly* older kid (or the slightly older kid in you). Soarin' over the World, California Screamin' and Cars Land are the highlights.
This is the entrance from the grand californian hotel into Disney california adventure its a great way to get into the park if your staying at the grand hotel
They attempted to do a pier like theme park here and they did it well! Looks amazing. I'm still sad they took out the California lettering at the front though :(
New policy with fast passes in 2014. Be sure to come back on time or you might get turned away. If you're late, ask NICELY. Cast members are just doing their jobs, don't be grumpy with them.
The 72-acre(29 ha) park is themed after history n culture of state of California. The park opened in 2001, nd its the second of two theme parks built at DisneylandResort complex, after DisneylandPark.
Smile big for the camera on the Tower of Terror ride! If you're looking for tasty food for dinner stop by House of Blues and try our new menu created by celebrity chef Aaron Sanchez!
Favorite show is the News Boys, favorite food any bread bowl from Pacific Wharf Cafe, and favorite ride Radiator Springs. Go single rider on Radiator springs fast passes are gone too quick to get them
I liked California screaming, the streetmosphere the Cathay circle tour. The boardwalk at paradise peer is nod to eat at and wander. World of Color is a trip highlight.
If your child is exactly/slightly taller than the height requirements, be ready to check their heights all day and don't get mad when the cast members ask to re-check them. They are doing their job.
Disney California Adventure Park is now open exclusively for: A Touch of Disney, a new ticketed experience within select outdoor areas, currently taking place Thursdays through Mondays from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM...
