- Although International Arrivals after Customs has been recently remodeled, you still have to pass the shark tank timeshare area. Wade through without stopping until you get to the ATMs and taxis.Upvoted Mar 19
- S G MNovember 6, 2014Small but the stores are awesome... Buy your tequilas before you part from here. The docked tequilas are really good😀😁😈💵💴💶💷💸💳💰👛💲don't forget to have your cash on handUpvoted 1 week ago
- Shauna CauseyApril 8, 2012If you visit the surfing village of Sayulita, half an hour outside of town, you won't be sorry. One of my favorite spots in the world.Upvoted Feb 28
- Rob LojekApril 13, 2015Past security in international terminal "B" gates, there are some amazing deals on liquor, if that's your thing. E.g., two 1 liter bottles of Bacardi for $28 US. Still haven't found where to plug in.
- CupoCity VallartaFebruary 9, 2015Welcome to paradise! There is a PV for everyone, enjoy it at your leisure and budget, #LocalTip Use CupoCity.com to do much more!
- Welcome to #PuertoVallarta, few steps from your current location is #Valapanza at Plaza Marina, you have to visit them... Delicious!
- An annoying airport to fly into: the line at customs is interminable, get your luggage and then push past the onslaught of timeshare sales people. Best option is to have a car service pick you up.
- James H.February 18, 2019Modern and efficient but already too small for amount of traffic. The lines for customs is the longest I have ever experienced. Patience at the extreme needed
- Cole KennedyMay 6, 2017If you're early for your flight, you should still go through security. Don't worry — the restaurants and shopping are better than before the checkpoint.
- Shawn DankoFebruary 21, 2021Prebook your ground transportation in advance of flying into PVR, head directly outside by Corona Bar, DO NOT STOP to speak to anyone inside the terminal no matter what.
- Jie HuAugust 21, 2015Keep away from those white shirt salesman in the arrival hall. They look prof but never talk a word with them. They'll ask you where you stay but lead you to a rival hotel's counter and sell u sth.
- Ralph MoránNovember 7, 2021Quicker security check than US airports. Be sure to take COVID quiz before boarding. Also, you do not need to take out electronics, or remove your shoes.✌🏽
- Michael JonesSeptember 29, 2014Run past the scam artist timeshare mob as you walk through arrivals. You don't get anything in this world for free and this is not an exception. Get a taxi outside for about $10 (US).
- Kelly R.December 26, 2020Easy to get thru and security had no lines, but very limited food options open at 8am so don’t come hungry
- The Size ( Small ) of the International Terminal & The Efficiency of the Check-In !
- ShinaDecember 22, 2018Off ore everything and keep walking out the door till you see a taxi sign. Customs goes fast, but the solicitations after is overwhelming.
- Tomas LegorretaApril 7, 2015The national departure area is lame. Go straight to international where you'll find nice restaurants and stores
- Todd ChristensenJanuary 24, 2012When getting off the plane, run, don't walk, until you see the outside (past the two "rooms"). The timeshare people will try every dirty trick in the book. Be rude if you must, it's ok.
- Debbie MosesMay 4, 2013Check in when desk first opens then go back home and wait until 45 minutes before flight is boarding and go back to airport! We never have a line and usually get First Class!
- John DohertyAugust 9, 2014Lots of restaurants outside security. Family can walk with you to your gate.
- Juan Raúl QuiñonesFebruary 18, 2015Despite there is not much people, take your time, attention is great
- Andrew BagleyMarch 23, 2012Cross bridge to take bus to sayulita it's 25pesos and will be written on the front of the bus window in white marker
- Andrew TaylorApril 5, 2014Bring earplugs and pray this place never has a fire as it seems every smoke alarm in the facility is dead or dying. Chirp, chirp, chirp... Everyone can hear it except for the people that work here.
- k dNovember 5, 2013Eat at the grill before security... After security all to be found is burgers and pizza.
- Welcome to Puerto Vallarta, a visit to the famous malecon is a must while you are here!! have fun and enjoy our destination!!
- george lamberisMarch 3, 2014You can rent a rental car cheaper for a week than a round trip taxi anywhere.
- Flying American? Take the evening flight from DFW. Customs will be empty and takes five minutes.
- If you are going to take a bus from the central bus station you might tale a white bus from across the bridge, since the bus station is less than 2 kms away
- The only lounge in the airport is for Priority Pass or Diners Club members.
- Mary RittiNovember 5, 2010Go across the bridge for taxis - it costs significantly less than the airport taxis - all yellow taxis are legit and cheap!
- Michael SheehanJanuary 4, 2015Terrible Airport with enormous queues. I'd drive 6 hours to Guadalajara next time rather than fly from here.
- Rob WilliamsJune 10, 2012If you're traveling back to US but through Mexico City, you can't buy a souvenir!? You have to buy in Mexico City. Weird!
- Fabian RodriguezJanuary 9, 2011Free wifi and wall plugs to charge your electronics by the Subway in terminal B.
- Tip: while the plane is taking off, don't distract the pilot!
- Adam K.January 13, 2018Worst airport ever for incredibly long customs line. Wrapped around the entire baggage claim area three times
- Dartanion LondonApril 16, 2011Be sure you know what time it is and what time zone you're in. The lack of clocks on the departure screens is... bizarre for an airport.
