Gorgeously lotus ponds near Ueno Park is lovely especially in August. In late september, seed pods are everywhere that if you are trypophobia, be aware!!!

The Shinobazu Pond is located within the grounds of Ueno Park. It is easily accessible from JR Ueno or Keisei Ueno stations.

時代劇小説にもよく登場する江戸時代からの名所。往時は出会茶屋（今でいうラブホ的な？）多くあった地域らしい。江戸の中でも歓楽的な地域だったんでしょう。

夜桜を見に行ったんですけど…沢山桜の木があるのかと思ったら、そんなでもなく…雨上がりだったからなのか？人も少なかったです。池の周りを一周しました。スカイツリーが見えました。

7月下旬には池一面の美しい蓮を楽しむことができます。この時期は日中暑く、午前中に訪れるのがお勧めです。
