- Wong Kei 旺記 is Cantonese Chinese. 旺Wong is popular and 記Kei is the Chinese version of 's. 記 is pronounced like "Gay" in Cantonese but locals pronounce Kei like "Key" in English (記 is"Ji" in Mandarin)
- Cheap food! Cash only. Don't ask for ice w/ drink or extra fried egg w/ your dish or you'll get told off! :p Salt & pepper pork chop is excellent on a good day. Beef brisket noodle soup, cheap & good
- I’m happy to say that the one of a kind atmosphere of Wong Kei is alive and well after all the years I’ve been visiting. Dry shredded chilli beef is great.
- One of the best meals in London - Sweet & Sour chicken on white rice. Consistently fantastic. Get the dish that comes with rice for ~£5 and good size. Bottomless tea too!
- Rich DOctober 18, 2020Barbecue pork, crispy pork or roast duck on rice. Salt and chilli fried pork chop. Brisket rice. Wanton noodle soup. Mixed seafood crispy noodles.
- Stealth MooseSeptember 19, 2022Iconic eatery. A lifesaver when you’re low on funds. CASH ONLY | NO CREDIT CARDS | NO CHEQUES. Enhance your experience by muttering ‘debit card’ or ‘Apple Pay’. Service with a frown and a barb... 🤬
- Levent AkgermanJanuary 7Bland atmosphere but excellent food for the price! Cold cuts of roasted pork and belly. Sechuan shrimp, seafood noodles and beef fried rice. Cash only though!
- Love the pork chops with chilli and salt on rice! Highly recommended!
- Tee YiongDecember 31, 2012If you are alone, you will be asked to join any table at the ground floor. Otherwise upstairs or downstairs. They offer free Chinese tea. No service charge added to your bill. Authentic Chinese food!
- Scott GreerJuly 27, 2018The fried rice (either shredded chicken or minced beef) is really good. Reminds me of being in Hong Kong

- Lim Chee WeiDecember 23, 2014It's so different now! Waiters used to be very rude. Either I grew meaner or they learnt to be polite! Anyway, price are very reasonable! Portion is huge. Suggest sharing the food.
- NickSeptember 2, 2013Good value - probably not the highest quality meal in Chinatown. Nice atmosphere, lots of Chinese eating here. Busy.
- 🌸 Jasmine Pink 👒February 15, 2015There were two black long hair in my dish. It was a prawn with hot bean sauce. Just be careful!
- No service charge, massive portions, great and free Chinese Tea. If you don't mind sharing a large table with others, a recommendation!
- Mike RigbyMay 9, 2014Bucket of cunts! Cash only... But no one will tell you that before you sit down. Food was avg. set meals good price if you add extras. Would't bother if I were you.

- P SOctober 18, 2017Cheap easy meal in London. This costs 5.8 pounds. However, staffs and their services are not friendly.
- Parth AwasthiFebruary 5, 2014Aromatic. Duck. Pancakes. Enough said. Hard to go wrong with many things at this old establishment.
- ChrisAugust 31, 2014I now unashamedly go here for the banter. Last time the waiter refused to take my order because it would 'take too long'. The belly pork is where it's at!
- Was my go to place for cheap food but after they ripped me off just for £2 I shan't be going anymore. Good business model!
- The shredded duck with preserved vegetables and rice noodles (187) is great
- MonicaOctober 18, 2014Worst food ever tried!!I've had the meat and rice dish and the meat was awfully greasy and chewy. They also never bothered to bring one of the dishes we've ordered, as they were "too busy". Neveragain
- Lo CosmoApril 18, 2016A casual place for a quick Chinese meal, cheap price, reasonable food. Do the job
- YimingJanuary 26, 2014the young waiters are like gangsters, I recommend the food if you are white or from Hong Kong or if you are justin bieber. I care about who I give my money to.

- Heidi LemmetyinenOctober 23, 2011Fabulous food at low prices and quite possibly the rudest service in London. Love it!!
- Used 2b regular. Service never the best, recently it gets worse. We paid at the counter, they gave us out change back minus £2 tips that they put straight into their bucket without our consent! Avoid.
- _September 16, 2015Known in London to be the rudest restaurant. Was not rude enough, food was okay, price was alright. Service was actually decent.
