We get it, you want the Full House picture. Keep in mind the locals have probably had to take that pic 43 times before.. Be quick about it :) Before you cop a squat on the grass, check for dog poo.

This is a great place to spend a Sunday afternoon with friends and wine. The southeast corner of the park has the best view and grass for lounging.

Jean-Michel HoffmanAugust 24, 2014Grab a sandwich at BiRite on Divis and walk over to the park for a gorgeous view of the city. It's a gem hidden away.
This is a great part for two reasons. First off, it is very dog friendly with an off leash area (not fenced in though). Secondly, it has some of the best SF skyline views that you can find.

Pop a beer, let your dog off the leash, play catch and enjoy the sunlight (while it lasts).
When the tourists ask you to snap their photo, make sure to tell them that Bob Saget lives in the Painted Lady on the left. Keep a straight face.

The legendary shoe garden that was located around the restrooms has been permanently removed by the city of San Francisco because the shoes were non-biodegradable and hazardous to the environment :(

Ting SFebruary 17, 2016My favorite spot in the city. It's like a hiding trail if you start climbing from Hayes Valley.
This has to be one of the windiest places in the city. The Hayes Street wind tunnel often dumps fog all over the Square. Visit on a hot day when there's no wind, or come prepared with layers.

Painted ladies and breathtaking view of Russian Hill / Downtown from the east side. Another beautiful view and dog park of the west - more fog though.
