Everybody talks about how depressing this place is but Bxl-Noord always puts a smile on my face! Finally back in Belgium's greatest city : Brussels!

You can buy TEC bus tickets here too. We bought train tickets to Charleroi (6.4€ with discount) and bus tickets to airport (6€, no discount). Both were punctual.

Built in the late twenties this station was a modernistic pearl of pure international style. It still looks gorgeous in some aspects but you have to have an eye for detail.

The old stairs are gone. This station underwent an upgrade and has a few new shops. Improvement

Slightly dodgy and dingy looking train station, but that's what gives it so much character. Catch the international train up to the Netherlands.

Most beautiful station in Brussels! Neighbourhood a little dodgey, but not as bad as its reputation

Nice place... for Hobos ! But, unlike other tips, it's not a dangerous place, just lots of weird people (like, wait, a station !)

Exit out of the centrum side. This is the nicer side of town, the other side has a peep show and a bit raunchier... Well may not be bad if you're into those kind of things.

To go from the busstops to the trains you have to take the outside stairs. There's nowhere a notification to be seen.

Not really the cutest of all stations, although the view from platform 1 is OK. It's not as unsafe as people claim, but to be sure, try to avoid the bathrooms!

L- and some P-trains have many stops. You'd better take an IC to Ghent or Bruges.

Arguably the least safe station of Brussels, keep guard of your stuff, but don't look too scared (like you should regularly I guess)

Direction Bourse / Beurs or Grande Place / Grote Markt take tram line 3 to Churchill / or line 4 to Stalle, both on level -2. Finance Tower take bus 351 or 358 on level -1.

The advantage taking a train here is not having to arrive early. Trains never depart on time. Always late.

Looks like a rather old train station they desperately try to make better but always failed. Sad. Intrigued by the former museum there though. Would love to get a closer look.
