    Please do try to support this elderly man. He sells the cheapest tissue paper I know outta all the peddlers I've met. I think he's just trying to make an honest living. I've met horrid ones in Bugis.

    Claypot laksa. Mouth-watering offering from Depot Road Zhen Shan Mei 01-75. Not overly salty, with the right balance of creaminess from the coconut milk. Claypot keeps serving warm throughout meal

    Wantan noodles. Dover Road Kai Kee #01-09 serves old school style, and sees regular long queues. Best eaten as a dry version with their savoury chilli sauce

    Hor fun (stir fried rice noodles). Enjoyed both the beef & sliced fish offerings from Hor Fun Premium #01-78. We could savour the ‘wok hei’ (smokiness & char) with every bite👍🏼

    Zichar. Enjoyed hor fun (flat rice noodles in thick sauce) fr Hock Sin Kee #01-02. This $4 plate had slices of pork & fish, as well as prawns. Lots of ‘wok hei’ (smokiness). Will try other dishes👍🏼

    The hawker with the most nos. of fruit juice stalls selling avocado shake. Mr Avocado has the smoothest and strongest gula Melaka taste. Teochew braised duck rice is good. Muffin stall also popular.

    August western food is awesome! chicken chop was pretty big and nice. the mash potato is crispy on the outside and soft inside. you can choose your side dishes too. auntie was friendly too

    Mr. Avocado - try the avocado shake. Very smooth and creamy.The Xiao Long Pao stall is also nice. A lot cheaper than DTF.

    Claypot rice: Pleasantly surprised Tai Liok #01-66 really cook d rice fr claypot, unlike others which spoon in cooked rice to save time. Takes 30mins 2 prep each claypot. Ingredients generous too

    Indonesian Butter Chicken Rice and Nasi Goreng with prawn paste chicken. These two never disappoints. Prepare for 15-30mins waiting during dinner time. But its worth the wait.

    #01-20 Lau Phua Chay Roasted Delicacies is famous for their char siew. It's extremely black and charred though.

    After trying both Mr Avocado and Avocado King, I have to say that Mr Avocado wins hands down. Avocado King's tastes a bit acidic, which is weird.

    Avocado shake , I prefer stall 60. They have an interesting combination of avocado n soursop ! Nice balance between sweet n sour ! Nice :-)

    King avocado trumps mr avocado. Creamier, with a durian aftertaste (not sure if this is just leftover from the previous round of blending). Mr avocado more diluted with tinge of chocolate.

    Get the muffins from AJ delight. It's amazing. The at all faces the shophouse. But they don't sell muffins during Chinese new year period.

    Claypot laksa is good. And I'm not a Yu Sheng person but the corner stall here is one of THE best and serves only in the morning. Their porridge is not much to rave abt though...
