fast train tickets to main destinations in Italy can be bought via app Prontotreno (Android + iPhone) in 2 steps. the time you saved you can spend sipping nice espresso. basically in every cafeteria.

Get your train to across the country, make sure you get the fast one instead the normal one. Get the first class! this is the most efficient way to travel across Europe. Venezia just 2 hr away

Stephen CrockerMarch 16, 2015Amazing architecture with a clear Roman influence. The ticket machines warn you of pickpockets but people still try to scam you by trying to tell you that you're doing the wrong thing. WiFi is scarce.

stop at chef express to have a coffe or while waiting. it is located on the 3rd level which gives a view of all the trains and the train shedule.

Buy your ticket online, you're gonna save time and you won't have to bother to find a working machine to validate it.

What a wonderful station! You can buy underwear and mobile phones but you do not have a waiting room: this is what I call customer care!

Abbey BowerSeptember 7, 2011Unhelpful workers! Be sure to get your ticket validated before you get on the train (it says to on the back of your ticket). If not, you can get a big fine and the conductors can be absolute pricks.
If you are going to visit the city go to any newspaper corner and buy a daily ticket (around 4€) it's worth much more than ordinary ticket (1,5€) and you can travel in the entire city for free. Enjoy!

Huge and crowded station, but well organised. There's a lot of stores and places to eat, and the building is amazing.
Beautiful station, interesting monument, a lot of restaurants and shops, but keep eye on your pockets, lots of crazies around
Please do not entertain any men who approach to "help", this is usually a scam when buying train tickets . Best to buy at the main ticket counters or at least within their office (ticket machines).
in the main ticket office watch out for 'beggars in disguise' who are pretending to help you out with the ticket. only trust the official 'Trenitalia' personnel.- Try the "ritardo", the daily zen experience from Trenitalia.
