- Aleks JApril 27, 2014The Central Diner downstairs is an awesome friendly comfortable place to wait for those without tickets.Upvoted Mar 16
- Gabriel HayesSeptember 21, 2015If you need a quick meal, go to Shake Shack (Gates 37, 23). If you want a more upscale sit-down option, go to the Palm.Upvoted Mar 2
- Panapolis is your best bet near the A gates. Toasted bagels, croissants, and kind barsUpvoted Mar 11
- So new, so clean. Also, in almost every situation, Delta is the best.
- There is a much shorter, less body scan-y security line on the level below the AirTrain. Not sure if its always open, but if it is, it'll shave minutes off of security line time
- Damian BayonaAugust 3, 2015The Central Diner in the arrivals hall is a full scale diner without the inflated airport prices. A great place to grab a bite though not as speedy as other options.
- After spending about an hour or so on the TSA line, get all your steps in walking to your gate. You can double that later when you board your plane through the most indirect jet bridge ever devised.
- Definitely hit up the Shake Shack on this terminal. If you have the patience, you're in for a treat. If you're gate is way ahead than B20... continue walking.. there's another one close to B40 ;)
- Nice, newly renovated delta terminal but it's huge. If you fly into one of the further away gates, expect to walk about a mile to baggage claim.
- if flying delta, check in at terminal 2 (not 4), then take shuttle bus a quick jaunt across the tarmac to terminal 4. that way you skip the long lines & breeze through security, which is rarely busy.
- Gabriel ReyesDecember 9, 2018Very nice and efficient airport. Try to get there very early large line in security control is usual. Have nice trip ☺️
- Shake Shack is B38. Good breakfast offerings in addition to standard fabulous.
- Louise YangMay 27, 2014There's a ton of food and drink here, from peets coffee, blue smoke bbq, Buffalo Wild Wings, shake shack, Panda Express, cupcake place, & tons more. But no free wifi (there r outlets + USB charging).
- Gabriel HayesFebruary 14, 2016By the A gates, you can get a drink at Caviar House & Prunier or a coffee at Flatiron Coffee Roasters. Both are good options to spot up for a layover.
- Caroline On CrackNovember 3, 2013If you have time get something to eat at the Shake Shack in the Delta terminal near gate B37. It will make your day.
- Michael GeerMay 22, 2011The pizza place and hudson news down next to gate B29 is the best placwe in the terminal to load up on pizza, wine, water, mags and snacks. Take it from a guy who has spent some quality hours at B28.
- Best terminal at JFK and also the best food (Panda Express and Shake Shack).
- ShaymaaNovember 22, 2013Get your nails done and a relaxing massage while waiting for your flight at Spa Express.
- New TSA system makes getting through security a bit quicker. Just drop all your stuff in 1 large bin and your good to go.
- No matter where you fly, your gate will be at the very end of the mile long terminal. There will inevitably be innumerable school groups that think moving walkways are for standing. Good luck traveler
- MatthijsOctober 25, 2014There are 2 Shake Shacks, At gates B37 and B23. The one at B37 has seating and is less busy
- John DowlingOctober 25, 2022The food offerings are bad, the shops just make for more walking. The gates—especially the “B” gates—are laid out on an endless hallway. You’re in for a long walk if you draw a high gate number
- SteveMay 9, 2013Ignore all the tips about food and security. They changed everything last month so the good food is after security.
- Stephanie DeDeckerOctober 23, 2019The coffee roastery in terminal 4 near the A gates used Irving farm coffee! A true nyc staple
- Vivienne GucwaOctober 18, 2014Terminal 4 is where it's at. Really, fantastic array of food, shopping.
- Jill TappeJune 24, 2012And no good coffee, either! If you have time, take the airtran to Jamaica station and grab an AWESOME Tim Horton's! The $10 entry and return total cost was worth it as they also sell healthy foods!
- Two Shake Shack after security check. The one at Gate B37 usually has much shorter lines.
- No restrooms between intl arrivals gates and immigration/baggage claim, so go before you land! Sadists.
- mark silvaJune 17, 2011Buffalo Wild Wings has power strips, coat/bag hangers and decent microbrews at the bar. Juice & suds up while waiting for your plane.
- Shake Shack and Blue Smoke are at the ass-end of the B gates. While both are incredibly delicious, they are not worth missing your flight over.
- Rita ChengJune 14, 2014New check out terminals make arriving a breeze if you're used to them (they're similar to YVR's.) Applicable to Canadians passports, too!
- Please people put your name, your address and a contact number or email on your suitcase...because, yes !!!!! sometimes the tags the airline put on your bags sometimes do come off :)
- Daeic ChangOctober 25, 2014Have the sweet time with shake shake and JFK tower (shake shake JFK In T4! 5 min on foot from wingtip lounge)
- Delyn SimonsSeptember 28, 2012Upper Crust has toasted sandwiches, drinkable coffee, and plenty of power outlets if you have time to recharge you devices before your flight.
- Depending on your departure gate... you may have to walk more than a mile to get to your plane. Wear comfortable shoes for the long walk.
- No kiosks for Virgin America, so if you like to print boarding passes like I do, you'll need to wait in line to have someone print it for you. The pre-order check entrance is closer to row 1.
- Nina OttavianoApril 3, 2015Not an amazing amount of food choices especially in the morning so I would suggest to bring your own from outside the airport.
- Ron MartinsenOctober 26, 2013If you are at the B gates then eat at The Palms near B20 or LeBrea Bakery by B32 - most others are lame. Prices are insane everywhere here so just plan to get screwed
- Ms HeleneFebruary 14, 2018Wingtips lounge is in security level. Basic food and facilities but includes at least some hot food, soup and cereal all the time.
- Great. Security check is now directly after Check In. Direct way from the Lounge to the Gate(s) now!
- Burger fans: there is now a Shake Shack in T4 near gates B35-37. Also a craft beer bar across the way.
- Vivienne GucwaJune 15, 2014Amazing terminal. Clean, lots of places to eat. It's as if it's not a part of JFK...
- Devindra HardawarAugust 16, 2014Pro-tip: Shake Shack has better coffee and breakfast sandwiches than Peet's (and everyone else here)
- The new Delta Sky Lounge is a great place to wait for your flight. The outside roof deck is amazing.
- KarenJanuary 16, 2019If you have Priority Pass, the Wingtips Lounge is located in this terminal, to the right after passing through the security checkpoint.
- Comfy shoes and a bag of snacks. All set for my 14 hr flight
- MatthijsOctober 25, 2014When traveling with KLM: Check in at the Delta Kiosks and drop your bags at the KLM drop-off, less waiting
