Alto Hotel MelbourneJune 22, 2011Need a good hotel to stay near Etihad (also short tram ride to MCG). Try Alto Hotel on Bourke Street. Opposite St Agustines Church just before you get to King Street.
Well-constructed stadium. $5 bottles of water tell you all you need to know about the shop prices.
The VFL park of modern times and a great place for an apartment block.

Best place for concert and sporting events! Easy access to food, drinks, snacks
always crowded when AFL game is on!! people from everywhere come to see the game. most of them are using their favourite team costume :)

Beware of Brisbane Lions supporters who seem to be completely unaware of the rules and devoid of humour, but continue to scream out inanely.
Small stadium, but that means great views of the game. Look on eBay for Medallion club seats... they are awesome.
Make sure if you sit on ground level near any gate that you have enough layers against the breeze blowing in
