It's been Real WMATA. But I had to switch to the CLEANER, and more Politer VRE. Oh did I mention CHEAPER too. Metro $315 a month (plus payment for parking)... VRE: $214 a month (parking included)
This Station has 2 parking garages, but if you don't arrive and park before 8am both lots will be full!! A small number of spaces start to become available after 11am...

They now track arrival times online, just click the Read more link to see when the next one will come. Read more- For whatever reason most people fill up the first 2-4 cars. The last 2 are usually the best ones to find a seat on... And no screaming, super excited kids going to the zoo! :)

Park in the North Garage if possible. You'll have a shorter walk and better access to other transportation options (Kiss n' Ride/MetroBus/taxi)

If you have nice car and want a safe spot, come before 8am and go to 3rd or 4th floor for last spots.
so many changes! Great lighting now for the bus area, roundabouts aren't exactly necessary and just confuse people.
If the parking lot sign says full, DO NOT pull in and try to find a spot. If you don't find a spot and leave right away you will still be charged. BS!!! I say.
They've change the bus pickup and dropoff areas, made it much less convenient to park on the South garage.

Get to the station before 8 am or you will not get a parking place!
Pay attention to the Tow Away zone signs. Chances are you can actually park in the spots. Toe hours are 2 AM to 10th AM.- Getting out at Vienna and want to be close to the escalators? Be on the latter half of the train.
If you answer one tourist's metro question be prepared to answer them all. They line up here.- Please EXPLAIN how the HELL you "check in" in the Morning... Says holdin down mayorship and BOOM it's gone in 3 hours. #FourSquare BSLost This Mayorship 2 hrs after i checked in??

Try to avoid sitting in "priority seating" on the train. There is an older woman playing "cop" and kicking people out of these seats. Even though it's a packed train.
Don't talk on the train in the morning. Nobody wants to listen to you before we've had our coffee.
According to NBC news, more people go to craigslist for missed connections at the Vienna metro station than anywhere in the world.
There is an open power plug behind the trash can outside the gate just past the farecard machines.

Beware the ever changing fence maze to the south parking garage.- There are 54 Bike Racks & 68 Lockers at this station
There is usually no seating from 4 - 7 pm, so bring comfy shoes!

Andrew VAugust 25, 2011Trains head all the way down the platform. Keep walking once you get off the escalator.- ALL trains go downtown from here, so board on either side of the platform.
