The world's most famous art museum as absolutely worth visiting when in Paris. If there is a long cue at the glass pyramid try entering from the adjacent shopping center.

You could spend many days here. OR just 90 minutes. Follow my plan and you'll see the highlights and walk past a lot of great stuff. Don't be that guy who looks defeated in the museum - trust me.

We spent the entire day there and we have visited two sections only, it worth the visit, I would consider it as a time machine that will take you back in centuries.Better to accompany interested ppl.

Is the line insane? Cross the Tuileries, go to Musée de l'Orangerie, buy a Paris Museum Pass (and visit their awesome collection) and then come back to the Louvre and skip the line. Genius!

Go during offseason (Feb-March), on a weekday, and arrive right when they open. You'll have many rooms to yourself for a good hour before the crowds start to roll in.

If you are limited to a short visit, make a list of the top things that you want to see, otherwise you'll get lost in all of the other great items in the collection.

On busy days, enter via the Porte des Lions. You'll have direct access to the main drag Halls of Spanish and Italian Painting.... this can be a good or a bad thing, if you are trying to avoid crowds.

The museum is AMAZING! Such beautiful artwork. It was very packed and the Mona Lisa (which is very small) was swarmed. American in Paris ❤️

If you spent 60 seconds looking at each of the objects at the Louvre, going steadily for eight hours a day, it would take you 75 days to see them all. It’s huge and well worth doing with a tour guide.

Take the hidden entrance off the subway exit in the basement next to the Apple Store. Get there before 830 in the AM and rush to the Mona Lisa. It'll be crowded with tourist groups later in the day.

For 5 €, get the Nintendo DS Tour, it's intuitive to your location and has pre planned itineraries based on time and interests, better than a guide, detailed explanation of every piece

It's humongous, so grab a map at the info booth at the entrance. So much to take in, you probably won't see everything, even in an entire day there. Great place to spend a few hours.

Make a beeline to the Mona-Lisa! Once you've fought through the crowd for a glimpse of her and fought your way back out, you can now stroll calmly through the rest of this amazing museum.

The Louvre is as much about watching people than paintings. Yes, the Mona Lisa is a masterpiece, but so is the Veronese Last Supper which occupies the opposite wall. And the other masterpieces.
