- Love this airport still... I always experience smooth and efficient security, friendly airline agents and Amy at the bar always serves with smiles... Even on a hectic Friday it's a great airport!Upvoted Feb 5
- Rental car lot is under construction and has moved off-site. Free shuttles tho... But plan for that.Upvoted Mar 14
- Trivia: You have landed in Nebraska, but will travel through Iowa as you drive out of the airport. It's an Iowa town (Carter Lake) stranded by a 1.25 mile shift of the river during an 1877 flood.Upvoted Mar 3
- Jesse LittleAugust 8, 2014Great airport, good layout. Easy to get from TSA to all gates. Full TSA line which is great in the regional airports. Very clean and friendly staff.
- みちこSeptember 7, 2013Clean and modern commuter (small) airport. Rental car pick-up and drop-off was just located across the airport (10-min walk from our terminal?).
- To my knowledge, this is the only airport with a butcher shop. Before taking off, make sure you take home brisket burgers and steaks.
- Cassy L.January 2, 2012Always getting felt up, but at least it's always done with a smile. The TSA agents are always very friendly. It's the Midwestern charm.
- Eppley is a nice little airport, very clean with a few decent places for a quick bite. TSA is extremely fast and there are plenty of places to sit inside the gates.
- Buy Omaha Steaks (on both sides of the airport before security check point) as a souvenier. Will stay frozen 8 hours or so. Great surprise for loved ones. Super tasty.
- Sarah SchlengerOctober 14, 2019No way to move between terminals without exiting and re-entering security. Also the rental car pick up is new and nice but a good hike from security so prepare for the time it will take.
- You can get in and out pretty easily. Baggage claim is fast. And they sell Omaha steaks!!
- Although you can show up like 15 minutes before your flight and still make it, some airlines won't let you check in if it's within 30 minutes of takeoff.
- Zac HarrisSeptember 25, 2014If you're a fan of Omaha Steaks Company, there is a booth right as you leave security where you can order anything you want to ship.
- OMA is a great (small) airport. Very rarely do I suffer delays or long lines at TSA. Food options are kind of lacking, but you can make due with Kracky Magees
- Plenty of food/drink options in Concourse B. Scooters, Godfathers Pizza, and pub. P
- Jill BSeptember 22, 2013Scooters has pretzels and hummus! So delicious if you need a yummy snack. :). Super easy to get through security Sunday afternoon also.
- Don't forget a good book. There's a really nice bookstore (Hudson Booksellers) on the second floor with a great selection.
- Greatest airport in US. Never more than a few minutes to get through security. Get TSA Pre-check if you don’t have it. It’s 2020 for god’s sake. 🤔
- Everything is great about Eppley except the airlines themselves..Delta is the worst, the rest are tied for second worst...but Eppley itself, awesome...
- Terri CarbaughMay 21, 2013If you are getting a rental car it's a million miles to go pick it up, however, if you as they will bring it around for you!
- Anna Couch-HiykelAugust 5, 2013Don't wear anything with sparkles and for heaven sakes don't wear hand lotion! If you do this they will take you into a little room and really pat you down!
- My experience-- OMA is one of the best/easiest airports to travel through! Security is efficient, evening bartender is great, staff friendly!
- Love flying out of OMA! Eat at The Hanger! Friendly waitresses and great food.
- Raymon RiveraJuly 20, 2014Easiest airport to go through. Got here about half an hour early and had to drop off rental car but still made it through security with 15 min. To spare
- If you somehow lost your id during your layover like I did, TSA will accept alternate proofs of id such as credit cards, prescription meds with address, other photo ids, MMS pic of expired ids, etc.
- The rental car return exit is thru the passenger pickup/drop off at terminal. Keep driving and take the second left into a small entrance. I know it's weird!
- Kevin WrightDecember 15, 2014Currently staying overnight and i havent been bothered by security. However if you stay overnight, prepare for said security to gravitate toward you.
- Super small airport! You can get from the curb to your gate in under 5 minutes. Wish all airports were like this! 😅
- Small airport. It will take much longer for your bags to arrive at the baggage claim than it will for you to. So take your time.
- Airport was designed and built before 9/11. So, shopping and dining options after TSA checkpoints are cramped and lacking. Just stay outside security until your flight is about to board.
- Omaha steaks outside the terminal - great deals. And if you buy, they give you ice packs and a bag to carry your steaks!
- As of December 2018, Kracky McGee’s (terminal A) has a new, updated bar. Much better use of the space!
- Scooters Coffee is the BEST in Omaha...grab a cup o Scooterdoodle before flight and you will take on the day :)
- Queena KouJune 16, 2015Use mobile check-in for your boarding passes and you'll fly right through. Otherwise, there aren't enough kiosks and the lines move slow. TSA agents are pretty friendly though!
- Security lines usually aren't very long. But make sure to eat before getting to the airport. The options are very limited once you are there, and it's not really cooked fresh either
- Daniel ParrottaJune 29, 2012Kracky McGees near A4 -> Great food, good prices, friendly staff (try the carrot cake).

- If you're flying united make sure you check in at least 30 mins before the flight or they'll totally kick you off! Even if you're exactly 30 mins before!
- No fast track lane for SWA or through security. So for biz travelers, don't plan to cut it too close. Even so...they usually move things along fairly quickly.
- Kenneth SuenMarch 13, 2017Waited 40 mins for hotel shuttle, when only 8 mins drive Hilton Omaha on G Maps. No specific hotel pick up area. Winter time you either stay outside in the cold or inside & risk missing your shuttle.
