- Jayme WJune 5, 2014Don't stand in the check-in line with the lemurs for Hawaiian. Check-in on your phone, walk to the far left and walk up with no line to the web check in counter. Add a bag if needed. Easy.Upvoted Feb 5
- W MunnyJune 16, 2013They have a sign that specifically directs you to the cocktails. Impressive. The signage pointing to baggage claim is much less so.Upvoted 3 weeks ago

- Jowb FNovember 11, 2018Of all the airports I’ve been to, the staff here at OGG is hands down the friendliest, unlike the “bigger” airports that have the most miserable humans ever!
- A nice little airport. Pretty efficient. Leave the fruit back at the hotel. There is a secondary agricultural inspection. The only fruit you can take home are basically the pineapples bought onsite.
- Wander LustJanuary 21, 2018Airport staff including Airlines and TSA employees are nice and friendly. Airport is a little run down. Don’t forget to get **agricultural check*** done before standing in line for checked in bags.
- Jaclyn 💃🏻March 10, 2017There's a small cardboard mailbox in the news stand to the right when you come up the escalators! Send your postcards out there... Maybe buy an ice cream to say thank you. :)
- Charles G.May 21, 2023Unique small indoor/outdoor airport. Staff is very friendly. TSA and USDA clearance process is relatively quick. Limited number of power outlets, restaurants and lounges.
- Bonus H.February 4, 2018Bathrooms near gates 5 & 7 might as well be outhouses! Half the stalls r broken & place reeks like piss! With all tourist flight taxes u would expect more!
- Small, easy airport to navigate. The central courtyard has everything you might need before you head off to either low or high gates. Main thing there is Starbucks!
- S G MSeptember 8, 2014The staff are really lay back and friendly and there is no windows is an open air airport bring your big repellent if you are flying by night
- Mary CSeptember 12, 2014Small airport. There are breezeways that are "outdoors" which really test the air conditioning, lol! There's a Starbucks, and a few other shops and restaurants.
- Scott FredricksonJune 23, 2013If you're considering making the trip to Hana, do your self a HUGE favor and rent a Jeep instead of a compact or even mid sized car....it's WAY MORE THAN WORTH IT!
- Katherine ParkerJune 15, 2014Massage chairs between Gate 19 and Gate 17-18 have a power outlet available. There is also a double power outlet to the right of Gate 19, in the end of the carpeted window seat.
- Regan SpindlerOctober 27, 2012For long layovers, easy to get taxi to/from Kahului town for food and bars. Recommend Bistro Casanova for great happy hour and tapas!
- Tyler TannerApril 27, 2016Yes! You have to do it again! Despite the TSA and 2 agro checks (luggage, then carry on), it's surprisingly fast. The mainland airports should take a page from their book. No smiles but good @ the job
- Cece NavarretteJuly 13, 2016Be sure to eat and get your souvenirs before you reach the second agriculture check, Especially if your gate is 39! Long...long walk
- Come here often unless of course you already live in Maui. It's a very easy airport to navigate but remember that your bags will be scanned again before entering your gate area.
- RexDecember 24, 2018Open air, small airport. Looks very dated and doesn’t really get you in the vacation mood upon landing. They do two agriculture (fresh fruit) checks if you’re flying out of Hawaii
- Kyla CrawfordOctober 14, 2012Use the porter service, its so much faster than waiting in line. Be sure to tip them well for saving you all that time & hassle!
- At some point in the past year the security area received a much-needed reconfiguration. Compared to how awful it has been for the past decade, security is now refreshingly efficient and painless.
- Jessica DeLucaDecember 29, 2013Gift stores and food are right after security. Once you walk further down to your gate it's slim pickings for convenience stores and food.
- Use the MyTSA app to check wait times. Lines can get long.
- Shauna CauseyFebruary 13, 2011You're in one of the most beautiful spots in the world. Relax. Have fun. Make your time here memorable!

- Karen L.May 26, 2012Its a really nice open air airport, But it it does not have any descent food venues. Don't pan on food items unless your all about fast food and ice cream;)
- Eric SmithJune 21, 2012Theyre on Maui time! No rushing allowed! They treat you with aloha so just stay relaxed and don't come ready to rush around the airport! :)
- Ryan BlockApril 28, 2018Easy in and out. Bags were already out on the baggage claim before we got down there.
- Nice new food court (Burger King, Calufornia Pizza Kitchen, Pinkberry) with ridiculously high prices, even for Maui. Also a new Sammy Hagar themed bar/restaurant.
- As of July 2013, electronic boarding passes are not accepted at the Security Checkpoint, so make sure to get your printed boarding pass to avoid having to go back out after a long lineup!
- LaurenJune 27, 2012When ever in Hawaii and you want a sweet treat go to Starbucks and get a vanilla bean Frappachino with coconut syrup!!! Yum yum yum
- Frank FiorentinoOctober 17, 2016Aloha. View of Makena State Park, when landing at OGG airport Kahului. Used http://www.oggairport.com to get acquainted with the Maui airport.

- Al B.September 3, 2013You couldn't really find anything disappointing about this airport due to the fact that it's in one of the most relaxing spots in the world!
- hawaiigirl727April 25, 2013Use the side security checkpoint that leads up to the shops and restaurant. Faster, shorter line. :)
- Adam StallmanSeptember 14, 2014Welcome to Maui! This open air airport seems too small for the amount of traffic that passes through. Expect long lines. They do a decent job trying to speed things up however. Read about why its OGG.
- Tony WebsterJuly 8, 2014Arrive early if you're flying back to the Mainland. They board early and everyone fills their carry-ons with souvenirs.
- Charge your phone before your flight out. There's only ~5 electrical outlets in the whole airport.
- Pacific Rootz TatauApril 11, 2013Buy a bottle with filter to fill your own water. Its better for the planet and will save you 5bucks

- I suggest the state comes to clean the windows at Kahului airport. Missing such a beautiful view of Haleakala..
- Kira FisherJanuary 5, 2015Just Pinkberry, CK Pizza Kitchen, Burger King for food. If you have long layover take a cab and eat outside.
- Welcome to Kahului, Maui! Pronounced KA-WHO-LOU-EE, M-OWEE. Wasn't that fun? Now go drink a Mai-Tai and hit the beach, wiki-wiki!
