Lot of food, lot of flavor, lots of love. A must visit if you go to Austin. And if you see Juan shake his hand. Best handshake in America.

Inexpensive, but impressive. The tacos can feed a small family and Juan won't let you leave without a deathly firm grip. You'll leave with a full belly and a lesson on a proper handshake.

Looking to save a buck and make a friend? Talk to Juan yourself. If his handshake doesn’t convince you, his breakfast taco will.  Excellently priced rustic Mexican cuisine. Read more

There's only one way to go, and that's with the Don Juan...eggs, potatoes, cheese and bacon w/ tortillas. Somehow, they make something so simple taste so good. Often turns into two meals for ~$6.

The Don Juan grande taco is certainly grande, as in huge. And it's very good for what it is—the perfect dish for a couple starving students. It's loaded with potatoes, and very filling.

Today the service was stellar and so was the food. I’m not a huge fan of menudo but today it tasted great.. love the migas!

Juan in a Million is an East Austin staple, having opened its doors more than 30 years ago. It's packed during lunch and on the weekends, but their breakfast taco called the Don Juan is worth it. Read more

Don't come here for the decor and atmosphere (it's a little sketchy)... Come here for the Don Juan Tacos! They're incredible. Skip the guacamole, though. It tastes like Play Doh. #austineats

Everyone says get the Don Juan (and we do often). But if you're not in a DJ frame of mind, get a egg/potato/bean taco. Absolutely delicious and a bit more manageable. Add salsa and you are set.

We weren't sure what we were getting into when we walked in. But the Don Juan (HUMONGOUS breakfast tacos served all day) was well worth the lack of atmosphere! Get extra tortillas.

I heard raves about this place and its true! Homestyle cooking. The Carne Guisada was great! My personal fave is the breakfast taco: nopales with egg.

Just order the Don Juan, for less than $5 it's epic. I recommend sharing with a friend and ordering extra tortillas. Juan Meza, the owner, is usually hanging around too.

Don Juan with at least 3 extra tortillas and either horchata or Mexican soda is the way to do it right. Be sure to shake Juan's hand when you see him. He might be the best restaurant owner in Austin!

A Don Jaun taco and a cold glass of horchata (sweet rice milk) is a great way to start the morning. Clear your taco plate as many times as you can to make the hall of fame!

These easy-on-the-wallet, plentiful platters have delivered many Austinites from hangovers and Tex-Mex hankerings since 1980. For $4.50, the "Don Juan" El Taco Grande will challenge you to a duel.
