It's easy to navigate in this big airport, directions are clear! There are multiple shops for those who want to buy clothes, chocolate, perfumes and all. Vending machines are all over the airport!
Not only Belgium's largest airport (22 million passengers / year), but also the number one seller of chocolate around the world, selling over 800 tons of chocolate per year. That's 1.5kg every minute!
The easiest and cheapest way is going by train to the centre. Taxi costs 45 €. If you travel weekend, then buy a weekend ticket which gives you unlimited right to use local trains including Brugges!
One of the quickest international airports in Europe. You get trough immigration and security really fast and also bag collection is a matter of minutes.
Brussels Airport offers unlimited free wifi to all passengers. Search for the 'Brussels Airport' wifi network, fill out the registration form and off you go.
Compact and efficient airport. Free WiFi throughout which remembers your device for the next stop here. Everything is fast and efficient EXCEPT the immigration for non-EU which could be 40 min wait.
Very nice modern airport.Lots of layers of security, especially for those leaving or entering the EU.Be prepared to wait to get through the secondary passport checkpoint when moving between terminals.
Renovated with faster access to check in. Nice and spacious central lounge area. Duty free shops have good price and a large variety. Not a lot of healthy options to eat. Good deals for chocolates.
I love this airport. Security is very fast most of the time. Big windows to watch the planes. Have breakfast at "Blend in Brussels", you have a great view over the tarmac there!
Soccer fan? These baby foot tables at our airport bring you in the right mood for the World Cup 2014. They're free to use, you'll find them near several bars at Pier A, Pier B & arrivals level.
Great one! Please arrive earlier because u might spend hours in its shops:) very well organised, so spacious, u will be amazed!Biz lounge is AWESOME. Free wifi
Be careful w/ short connections, this airport involves lots of walking. One hour connections are do-able but be prepared to keep a swift pace. Lots of great shops so if you do have time great for that
Very smooth procedure today, passing checkin and security in just 15 minutes despite the additional security measures. Great job and kudos to the Brussels airport team.
12-14 check-ins placement on the second floor is almost empty and has nice (but short) sofas to sleep. Also you can close doors from main hall and keep to a minimum number of people in this area:)
One of the most striking innovations at Brussels Airport is the Connector, a building which links the passenger terminal to Pier A above-ground. It will open to the public on March 26th, 2015. Read more
The origins of Brussels Airport at Zaventem date back to 1940, when the German occupying force claimed 600 ha (1,500 acres) of agricultural fieldsreserved as a back-up airfield ("Steenokkerzeel").
Install "Vyaggio" app on your iPhone/Android and benefit from the great promotions available in almost all food and drinks outlets (SBX, Pizza Hut, Belgian BeerCafé,...)
Visit the toy store at terminal B for some last minute presents. Also, check shops for goods with expiry date closing in - great Belgian cheeses, pralines and waffles for up to -60%
Always a pleasure to leave on holiday via BRU airport. Great shops but take in count the time to your gate as the airport is kinda big 😊 WIFi not always present only at fixed places.
Nice modern airport. Only one terminal so (too) long walking distances between certain gates. Long time parking options in walking distance from departure hall (P3 reservation, bookwell ahead).
Beware of super expensive shops and restaurants. Also beware of a long and winding (but fun) walk from the schengen pier to the international pier. It's a nice facility overall.
There is an urban legend that the site of the airport was chosen by the Germans after asking locals where to build it–the Belgians then pointed to this location as it was often foggy.
Very organised Airport with friendly staff. After passport control I realised that I forgot flowers that I bought for my girl, at the security, they even allowed me to come back to get them. Grateful!
If you like labyrinths, the parking lots are your playground :) lock, cd, express, front1, front2, VIP .. I need a dictionary. Do pay first as there is little machines to be found other than @ entranc
More chaotic security post the threats so make sure you don't dawdle if short transit time. The airport is large. Good shops...and you can't miss the chocolates.
Pretty good airport. It's not too huge so it's easy to get around in. The wifi is free for 30 minutes if you watch a video, register, etc. Pretty annoying process just to be able to check your email.
The cafe opposite the duty fee shop on Terminal B is recommended for a great cup of coffee and an applemuffin, especially if you're at the airport early am.
Don't get yourself stuck at Bar Rouge if you don't know your gate yet! Explore the shops, chocolate (!!), smoothies & more on the next floor up on the higher A gates!
