This hiking and nature trail was the estate of an opera singer in the '30s. At the top of the steep hill, there's a huge bench where you can just sit and look out on the greatest view. Read more

The hike can be up to 2.5 miles filled with inclines and steep stairs on the downhill. There are daily yoga classes and this is a perfect spot for people and celebrity watching!

The trails can be difficult coming down so you have to be careful but it’s totally worth it and such an accomplishment. Drink water, wear good sneakers and breathe in/out through your nose. 😉

It can get hot. There is almost no shade except for when the trail curves back and forth along the canyon wall. It’s also rather steep, so only strong runners can run the entire way. Bring water! Read more

Take the time to explore as many different directions as possible. There are lots of ways you can hike Runyon and so many views of LA to be had - including the Hollywood Sign.

Leave time for parking and accept you might park a few blocks away. You’re about to go on a hike, so who cares about a few extra blocks! Also, wear grippy shoes if you’re going off the road.

Parking can be a pain but it's definitely worth it for that amazing view. Plus the hike itself is the perfect amount of hard.

Great hiking spot. Beware of lose dogs and poop on the trail. Also this is a hot spot for celebs too so you never know who you might see on the trail. Rapper The Game is regular.

Best hiking in Los Angeles. Start from fuller and melrose end with a Starbucks from Ralph's. You can finish at the same spot with a Pinkberry treat across the street :)

The park is a favorite place to hike with your dog and see not only some of the best views of the city but some of the best-looking people in the city. Sunsets and sunrises are spectacular.

When you enter, the path that goes straight is steep and a bit of a workout, while the path off to the left is much more gradual and laid-back.

No restrooms/porta-potties here, and it's pretty packed all the time so sneaking a potty break off trail is dicey. If you gotta go, use restroom @ Ralphs on Hollywood & Fuller.

Skip the slow slog up the main path and hang a left right after you enter the "dogs off leash" gate. You'll shoot right up a challenging hike and suddenly be able to see your house.
