It's worth navigating the Sixth St. circus for this divine bistro. Best as a late-night haven or at happy hour, when the half-price bar menu gets you steak frites & a killer martini for under $20. Read more

Shawn Cirkiel's first restaurant has made its mark as a dining oasis on Dirty Sixth. They're an especially good bet for seafood, and the rooftop seating is lovely in good weather. [Eater 38 Member]

Upscale American dining is a great description which equates to quality over quantity in this case. Amazing food, but portions are small. For dessert, pear cake and donuts are a win.

Creative & amazing cocktails. Tater tots as a starter is delicious! Make sure you try acorn squash as a side. Yummy! They change their menu every season- so we like to get a bunch of plates to share.

Start off the meal with the fried green tomatoes, which are crisp and firm, and the Texas onion rings, crunchy and sweet. But make sure to order the all-you-can-eat family-style BBQ dinner. Read more

We love sitting at the bar..great food, great staff. Excellent oysters and ceviche. Buy the bar staff a round when the raw bar staff (Cory) wins an oyster shucking challenge from visiting celeb chefs.

One of the best happy hours in Austin. Insanely good burger and fries, great cocktails and cool atmosphere right in the epicenter of dirty sixth. Also, it's every day of the week.

There's lots of delicious drinks at Parkside but its really the couture food and atmosphere that bring this place to life. Oyster platter is half off during happy hour, and the fries are delicious!

While I am sure the entrees are great their small plates are spectacular. I thoroughly enjoyed my roasted cauliflower with citrus glaze and spicy chicken meatballs. Makes for a great bar meal.

Don't miss the fried okra. It's cut on bias for more fried goodness. Also, loved the spring pea ravioli. Ask your server what's in season & local. (& the Driskell bartender rec'd the oysters here.)
