$5 lot is now the $6 lot so make sure to bring an extra dollar! If that's full, there is FREE parking down the street on Garfield. It's a bit of a walk, but definitely worth it.

If you need to edit video and the 6th-floor edit bays are full, the "radio ranch" on the 3rd floor is full of edit bays that often aren't in use (so long as there isn't a class going on).

The sixth floor edit bays are better to use than the third floor ones. You won't have professors kicking you out so their class can use them. Also, you can check out the brand new FSN Suns Studio!

The teachers typically most like the rooms on the south side of third and fourth floors with the tables in the shape of a "U" and computers on the walls. These rooms also have windows.

There is a police desk on the 1st floor & if you have any problems, you can talk to them. The building is beautiful & it is spacious. I went to this school for several of my classes in the past.

Everyone says this school is cold so bring a sweater, but I have had two classes in room 414 and it is the COLDEST room in the building. The thermostat is broken; maintenance has said it. Bundle up!

To get to teachers' offices on the third floor, turn right at the stairs and go all the way down the hall to your right. Then go through the double doors on the right. Voila!

When using Final Cut Pro (and you will as a student here), name the folder you plan to keep all your files in "Video." This will keep you from having to reset the scratch disks each time you open FCP.

Have your own camera if you take Photojournalism I (JMC 351). If not, you will have to rotate a camera with up to two other people. It's very hard to get assignments done this way. Invest in a camera.
