- Turkish AirlinesMay 10, 2014Welcome to Germany! If you are fond of natural beauties, you may want to plan a walk at Cherry Blossom Avenue in Bonn.
- Do not buy water from the vending machine. The store close to the security area sells water for a third of the price
- Looking for a Beer, ask at the cashier of T1 duty free for a chilled beer (kölsch) from the back office... (1,50€ + 0,25€ deposit)
- Brian BulkowskiApril 30, 2014this is a cute little regional airport and you can get in and out very, very quickly. taxi to the center is 30 euros. train is 3. decent food both before and after security. the lounge is not worth it
- Funda KartalAugust 15, 2018Do not enter to gates area until last minutes. After the passing of final security there is a cafe and you can find very limited something to eat and drink!
- Jack SmithJuly 26, 2014Choose very wisely where you want to visit in Terminal 2 before passing through the separate security and passport checkpoints, as you won't be able to return back once you've gone through.
- They now have a body scanner. Duty free is rather small. Be sure to have a kölsch beer;)
- If u would like to go to Koln as fast as possible-buy tickets on -1 flor and go there by train by the right side of a platform. It will take about 10-12 min as well. Same about way back.
- One of the unique airports which is operating at nights in Germany.
- AliceMarch 19, 2015Free Wifi and sitting areas - what more does one want (apart from power outlets)?
- KasiaOctober 9, 2014Good connection with Cologne (S-Bahn). Free & unlimited WIFI. Access to electrical outlets. Not many restaurants and shops. Crowds in McDonald's and McCafe.
- You won't find any airport with shorter & quicker security queues. Smoking section next to gate B70.
- GennadiyMay 3, 2013This looks like a good benchmark for Moscow airports and railway stations. Актуально для Москвы.
- Anna Sophya July 30, 2013Not big, modern, well described and easy for orientation. Very useful to enter from S-Bahn. 10-14 minutes from city center by train/S-Bahn
- Davin ChuaOctober 3, 2016A typical efficient German airport, nice service and fast free wifi. But their customs in both terminals are not working daytime.
- Vangelis KoukidisMarch 15, 2019I like this weird, vertical airport. Rather small walking distances for most travellers, always a plus. Shopping and food options are not great, but they are sufficient.
- Mike WhitcombeJanuary 23, 2023Welcome! Behold the German efficiency and clear, logical signage. Zum Kölsch!
- Al MoreJanuary 25, 2015From Kolnmesse pretty easy to come here: exit South, head to DB and S, track 9, train S13. 15mins and with fair ticket the ride is free.
- Swemeatballs .May 21, 2017Lovely new airport however not much in Terminal 1 in terms of food or shops. But check out the state of the art body x-ray machines.
- 爱情May 13, 2019very small duty free shop, far away from each other airline company sections, more expensive prices😕 not much to see
- Dimitris L.December 3, 2016Big lines in the after check in for pass inside the departures hall. Better been there early for not have any risks of loosing the flight
- Nicholas AllioJune 21, 2017Small but very charming airport. Perfect for connections but not for layovers
- Mikael PawloAugust 14, 2014If you want breakfast, Kamps offers a nice bakery. Better do it prior to going to gates, since things become very limited on the inside.
- Beautiful 60ies architecture from Paul Schneider-Esleben, the elegant and sacral beton constructions, the roofs in the waiting satelites ...
- Johny MiricOctober 29, 2014Nice, clean and modern airport. But that's pretty much german standard these days.
- Bob HannentMay 22, 2014Wow, this is a nice modern airport clearly run by a bunch of disorganised idiots. The food and drink services are inconsistently open, the staff are unhelpful and poorly trained. Amazing.
- Jan BerkelSeptember 3, 2014fun fact: the architect of T1, Paul Schneider-Eisleben, is the father of Kraftwerk founding member Florian Schneider
- EdwulfSeptember 21, 2016Small airport but with all services. A lot of travel agencies are can be found here. No Starbucks on departure gates
- Alexander MyskinJune 15, 2014Tax free refund is BEFORE the security check! After you get a stamp at customs counter, head to the bookstore Kirschner on your right.
- Airport lets ryan air schedule any flights they want, causing havoc at check-in lines, almost missed the flight.
- If arriving, be aware there are TWO entrances to the train station, one at each end of the terminal. Can make the signs confusing.
- Eric LitmanSeptember 20, 2013Have your plastic toiletry bag in hand and ready. If not, be prepared to leave the line and go to the one spot at the gates where you can pick up a bag.
- Su AJanuary 19, 2015Watch where you park your car, you might have a looong walk. But its better than Frankfurt airport lol
