- Adrian PhillipsMay 1, 2015It's a beach with bonfire pits so that's awesome. If you like watching aircraft take off from LAX it's a great spot to see some A380s take off from.Upvoted Feb 11
- Judson MooreSeptember 7, 2013This place is special because there are fire pits for bonfires, but you have to get there really early to claim one. If you're not there by 5pm, then cross your fingers that someone will share.
- Zakiya Milanes QadirMay 1, 2012Serene. Both pathways through the sand and around and real nice for a walk, run or biking. I like that it's not crowded...that might just be bc it's a tad chilly out though.
- Darin HagreFebruary 19, 2015Apparently, this is the place to be on the weekend. Great location for photographing aircraft, if you're an aviation nerd.
- eric bornemannAugust 16, 2020Great wide beach that is perfect for social distancing during the week with tons of ample parking. And it’s got planes taking off which is cool for kids.
- AbdulrahmanOctober 13, 2013It's so nice, there is a BBQ spot and many ppl are chilling there. Gonna visit it again for sure.
- Jeffrey JamesNovember 30, 2015Quiet beach by LAX. Good for a quick stroll. Parking available & good cycle paths
- Jammie AdamsJuly 18, 2014Near guard 49. (3rd parking lot) Not a lot of people in this area. More private.
- Viciously MarciaSeptember 24, 2013Great beach. Parking is $10. Or try to find a parking spot on the street & walk down the big ass hill.
- Get here early for a fire pit and you can also grill on this beach
- Myungwoo LeeAugust 31, 2015You'll see bunch of checks from the champions in the past like misty May trainor, Kerry Walsh and others. Good place for beach volleyball fans.
- Coreinna KingApril 7, 2013Planes, bonfire pits, ocean. What more could you want? I, for one, love the low flying planes.
- Clarissa CowlesJuly 20, 2013Right in the flight path from LAX. VERY noisy! Huge jets every 5-10 minutes. Public Restrooms and showers available, but they stink so bad!!
- ChendaddyAugust 11, 2013Paid $10 to fight for parking for 30 min and ended up parking even further away than if I had just grabbed a spot on the street. Just park on the street parallel to the beach.
- I chose a spot in the end of LAX runway. Really noisy, but fun to watch planes fly so low, almost rubbing your tanning belly;)
- Krystle WOctober 25, 2012Lots of pits for bonfires! Path to bike/run. Street parking is pretty abundant on weekdays.
- The Most Interesting Man in the WorldMarch 27, 2014A sandcastle without a central keep is technically a sand mansion.
- Oren TuviaOctober 23, 2011There is free parking on the nation road, but make sure you move your car at 10! Because they ticket.
- Dora DangJuly 10, 2011Close to the airport u will hear airplanes ever so often. Really crowded especially on weekends & after 5pm. $10 parking and street parking fiills up fast. Group setting dates depends wat time & day
- D HNovember 16, 2013Watch out! Parking enforcement is serious about the 10pm limit on Playa Vista... $73 ticket - not worth it!
- Nickita LegostevJune 21, 2012Just for fun - try to stay on on your feet, when the plane takes off :)
- mikeeSeptember 20, 2010Come early and come with a group. Not recommended for date nights. People will just bug you about joining in.
