Great location! Comfortable and clean rooms. They have an executive lounge in which they serve continental breakfast and evening hors d’oeuvres. The views to the lake from the rooms are amazing!
The staff do friendly and helpful especially the doorman. I love there going green option if you skip room service the hotel provides 5 voucher for each day and room is cleaned on the third day.
this hotel is only 20 minutes from downtown Chicago. check out the Pullman room that starts at $80 a night. Read more: http://www.cheapism.com/p/cheap-chicago-hotels.mhtml#ixzz2kQPqR4ED
Location's FAB~Staff's wonderful~Bed's are comfy..But between the paper-thin walls & 2" gaps under the doors, sleep is next to IMPOSSIBLE since you can hear COMPLETE conversations & EVERYTHING else!!
Nice hotel.. Great location.. LOVE Grill on the Alley which is connected to hotel...BUT!!!! Do Not Agree about comfortable beds.. Complete lie.. If you like sleeping on the floor this is the place.!
Great location across the street from the John Hancock tower and amazing shopping, however rooms felt a little dated compared to Westins in other major markets. Old dark furniture needs to be refreshe
Hotel has been refreshed. Not too many lifts are available and thus waiting time and full lifts are pretty common. Otherwise rooms are clean, bed is extremely comfy
Don't stay on the 15th floor. There's a wedding reception on the 16th floor and the base is keeping up our family. Apparently they can go til midnight. I'll never stay here again
Claudio at the front desk is awesome. Got us moved from a room neighboring an obnoxiously loud family lickety split into a private corner room. Thanks, C!
I recommend trying other hotels...this one is more show than Go. Lots of mistakes, shredded internet cord, amenities were not working (i.e. safe & iron)....
Make sure you tell the front desk not to leave your check out receipt wrapped around your door handle so everyone in the hallway can see who is in the room. Serious security concern.
Don't normally leave negative tips but if it wasn't for the fact I prepaid, I would change to the Sofitel. The rooms are well overdue for refurbishment.
Head man of on-duty parking (not staff nor manager Peter) is horribly rude, very arrogant and disruptive when you speak. I spin at Westin annually at Christmas and have the same problem every year.
Got all hyped up because of the brand, the location and great price ($199+tax per night) - excluding parking. But quickly disappointed by the room. It's old. it smells. May wanna go somewhere else.
Not impressed. They make you drive around the corner from the entrance to drop off your car. Are we suppose to lug our stuff back to the entrance? Not worth the valet rate. Outdated. I'm a SPG member.
Located just 18 miles from Chicago O'Hare Airport and 13 miles from Chicago Midway Airport, The Westin Michigan Avenue Chicago is well-placed near top downtown attractions, including Grant Park, Navy Pier, Wrigley Field, shopping, dining and nightlife.
