3 terminals and they're quite a distance apart. Very clean and big and nicely done up. Helpful airport staff too. Don't buy the SIM cards from the ladies at the phone booths - expensive.

Always enjoy using Beijing Capital T3. Stunning architecture, modern, clean and has one of the only Burger Kings in Beijing. And it's always nice to leave Beijing once in a while! ;)

The Air China First Class lounge is open to all Star Alliance gold members. This is one of the best lounge I have been to with hot food, drinks, and fresh fruits for all your enjoyment.

Eat, drink and shop around the check-in areas before you through the turnstiles to the trams. The offerings beyond the trams are fairly meagre.

Air China lounge has warm foods from 0630-0930, 1100-1400, and 1700-2000. The beef noodle soup is tasty, especially with the hot sauce!

Huge airport, each individual terminal larger than majority of most airports. One thing to worry about the most is the smog pollution. Lung and asthma sufferers beware

If you don't have checked baggage, just download Air China app to check in and use iPhone's Passbook to access security check and board flight. So cool and save time.

FFS the security will check if the spare battery in your hand carry luggage to confirm that it is certified by some bloody authority. If you are not sure yours is legitimate, better leave it home.

For the international departure, passengers with luggage cases are now being allocated to a separate queue, which is actually shorter and slightly faster.

There's a good tea shop past customs/security in E gate area. I always use the rest of my RMB on Oolong and Jasmine pearls before heading home.

If you take a bus out to your plane and can choose between small vip or large bus, take the large bus. Large one leaves faster and small buses get easily held back.

Rate is low if you want change money and they take about 80 yuan at night as night tax. You can ask travelers to change if you can with bank rate .

Nice service if it works after trying half an hour. Don't use toilets cause it interrupts WIFi and you have to start with new registration! :-( (by the way: Facebook is blocked all over China!)

C/D gates - domestic, E - int'l. Check gate # before proceed to security check since there are different entrances for C/D/E gates. Scan your BP to enter. D/E gates passengers need to take a train.

Go to the city centre by train. The Airport is served by the Airport Express Line of the Beijing Subway. The line runs from Terminal 3 to Terminal 2 and then to the city centre (takes 20 minutes)

Bane of my t3 existence is middle lifts (only 2 there too). Other 2 are at oppo ends of terminal. Always crowded from arrivals & 9 times of 10 someone accidentally presses mid-floor (airline offices)
