Love this Hilton! I always stay here when in SF. Tower 3s renovated rooms are awesome. Reminiscent of a W standard room. Be sure and avoid walking into the Tenderloin after dark. Can be a bit sketch.
Ask for a room in Tower 1 that is an even number on a high floor beginning with 70 ie. 1-3370, you will get an amazing view of downtown, the water, and AT&T Park!
The bar is in the 45th floor great view, our check in was great, our renovating room was great, furniture was old, Nora, Elain from front desk where great, also David and Melvin Bartenders
Home to several conferences and conventions, including JavaOne, this Hotel has many amenities. Fantastic access to local landmarks, great restaurants, huge lobby for impromptu meetings, luxury rooms.
The service was amazing, when I mentioned that I didn't feel safe going out front to smoke they upgraded me to a suite on 32nd floor Tower 1 with a balcony for free so I didn't have too!
Even if you don't have a car, be sure to check out the parkinggarage entrance. A typically boring space has been made very cool, and it's worth the few extra minutes to see it.
Just steps from storied SF neighborhoods, stay here and you’ll be at the center of it all. If you're looking to get some work done, rooms come with a work desk. FYI - free Wi-Fi is only in the lobby.
If you're looking for a quiet hotel, this one isn't for you (lots of families w/ kids) but it has a great central location and is a good jumping off point for your adventures in the rest of the city.
If they try to sell you wifi, don't buy it. They'll then try to get you to sign up for some free membership where you get to use wifi free during your stay. Wifi is $40/day, which adds up!
complimentary bottled water @ front desk (Hh program). Starbucks inside $2 more, exit the hotel then turn right-two starbucks in 2 blocks. Parking $50/day (unlimited access 24hr). Warm small pool.
Rooms are decent and so is location but the breakfast buffet is steep ($29) plus 15% gratuity on ALL checks. Walk a block or two and save! Probably the case with all San Fran hotels though.
Cable car stop is a couple blocks away for anything outside walking distance. Ask doorman for a towncar to the airport: $40 + tip is least expensive & a nice way to ride.
Free water, all you can drink... just turn on the tap in your bathroom. This is a hotel, not a resort. If you want good prices and friendly service, go outside and find them. You're in San Francisco!
Tulio is great! He is one of the team members minding the gym. He noticed I had a phone and no headphones and went and got me a pair. Proactive customer service!
Higher floors have a great view! Urban Tavern is not that great, better places around the area. Make sure you stay in a Tower where the workout Room is!
North two blocks and west two blocks you'll find a darling little cafe in the Tendernob called "Farm:Table" that has become one of my favorites in the city. Really good coffee there.
Patti at the concierge desk is great! She will make sure to get you the best deals on tours and recommend really good food places! Very helpful! If only I could take her home to Mexico with me!
No free wifi, breakfast or any amenities. Bed like a rock. Honestly I'd take my chances with the Hampton Inn for much cheaper. Don't turn left when leaving this hotel. Best restaurants to the right.
Not the best Hilton property amongst their portfolio for the price point. Get the high floors with the bay view. Also carry bottles of water since they do not keep them in your room.
Talk to Security Guards in white. They know some of the best kept secrets. Want to see the City Skyline? Talk to the guards. If there is nothing going on at the 46th Fl, the guards can give tour.
The airport shuttle can be late, YOU CAN'T! The Pick-Up Time on the shuttle arrangement is the vendor's time. Be there (E side of Hilton) before the Start Time! This is for shuttles after 4:30pm.
Rooms are a little small. Bathrooms definitely small. Overall not a bad place to stay.... No good food or drink options on site. Registration line can get rather long as this is a popular place!
The Hilton San Francisco Union Square is right in the heart of downtown San Francisco. This sophisticated and stylish hotel offers easy access to Chinatown, Nob Hill and fantastic entertainment, shopping and dining at Union Square...
