Good connections and excellent flower arrangements. The shops are handy for refreshments when on the move. Note that it gets very cold in winter, especially on the exposed island platforms.
Katherine GrattonSeptember 7, 2014Really overpriced food and drinks, but there's a good variety of magazines in the newsagents shop. If you have enough time, walk over to the tescos opposite to buy your food and drink.- The coffee shop offers boozy coffee which is fab in winter.
Mat WSeptember 27, 2012Impressive selection of jazz mags available in 'Locoespresso'. The coffee is also OK.
Don't leave your bicycle outside the station, especially if you're away for a day or late at night. The cctv doesn't cover it and stuff get pinched from there all the time.
Chris HainesOctober 20, 2015The main station of Ely. There's a Tesco and a car park just outside. You'll probably need a car or a taxi to get into the town of Ely though.
Don't expect any help from the front desk. Probably closed or at peak times, one window open. A masterclass in how not to run public transport.
Dont walk round here in the dark on your own...have at least 3 bouncers and a guard dog....:)

Don't bother with the sweet machine on platform 2 as it eats your money!!!
The Fast Ticket machine nearest Platform 1 hasn't worked for about a year now...
Don't pay the expensive prices in the shops at the station, pop across the car park to the 24hour Tesco for more choice.
