- Nikos PappasNovember 17, 2017Really liked this airport. A large variety of stores are right in front of the gates, so you can spend your time there, without having to worry about anything else. 👍Upvoted 2 days ago
- A few years already since it was constructed and it still looks modern and great. Large and backlit is an architecture masterpiece. And it's really efficient. My favorite airport, and I know a few!Upvoted 2 days ago
- Irene GazpachoApril 12, 2015The T4 is simply beautiful. You can get there by cercanías or bus. The metro takes you to the T1. There's a free bus going constantly to all 4 terminals.Upvoted 2 days ago
- Good morning & welcome to Madrid. Do some Yoga exercise before/after your travel. No hectics, be friendly and patient ; )Upvoted Mar 1
- Best tip: when going to/coming from the airport, opt for the Cercanias Renfe train, instead of taxi and the metro (línea 8) to reach the centre. It is cheaper and faster (these trains have less stops)Upvoted 2 weeks ago
- Ralitsa IvanovaNovember 7, 2017One of the best airports in Europe. The stuff is super slow with the baggage checks but it’s easy clean and accessible! Good shopping of course (welcome to Spain) and good food
- Olena TkachevaMarch 9, 2015If you travel Ryanair and forget to print your boarding pass, travel agency El Corte Ingles will help your with a charge €10.
- Dave McJanuary 6, 2020This airport has got to have the fastest immigration line I’ve ever seen in my life!Upvoted Mar 5
- Darrann HughesDecember 13, 2014Most of the time Comfortable, Empty and Quick progress can be made both Arriving/Departing... 😊👍... However, on occasions it can get Busy!!!... 😏
- Charles TabangcoraJanuary 10, 2013Nicely designed airport. Great food and shopping options in the main terminal. The tram ride to the remote terminals is a few minutes long.Take the elevators down to the tram if possible to save time.
- Kassandra BoydJuly 17, 2014Grab a ride on the Airport Express, it pulls up right outside terminal 2 (across from taxis), cost 5 euros & stops in the center of town.
- Lover of LifeNovember 18, 2015Be mindful about the sign in the screen especially when getting the luggage. This airport is huge! They have terminal 1 to terminal 4. There is a metro That goes to The center and Airport Is free Wi-Fi
- Cristal RibeiroSeptember 3, 2016Free and fast wifi. It is a huge airport, so be sure that you have enough time to check-in and find your boarding gate!
- Official taxis offer a flat rate from the airport to the city center and back, so don't forget to check with your driver to make sure, because they tend to forget ;-)
- John AOctober 8, 2014Bring your walking shoes between terminal 1 and 2 if you are connecting from long haul to regional jets. Stop at the "eat place" in terminal 2 for fresh sandwiches, yogurt and juice/wine/beer.
- When coming out of passport control and going up, take the elevator because the escalators you have to go up several flights.
- Jacob RosenbergApril 23, 20154/4S is attractive and airy with high ceilings and good light. There's plenty of seating and IB operates nice lounges with food, free full bar, and showers.
- Kyle WildMarch 13, 2014Stay in Chueca / Malasaña. And if you eat meat, RUN, don't walk, to Posada de la Villa, and order the roast lamb. It's the Lamb of God. If you don't eat meat, consider making an exception ;)
- There is an airport shuttle that you can take that drops you off at Cibeles and you can also take the Metro which is conveniently connected to the airport.
- Doc SearlsJune 25, 2019If you are connecting to another flight here, best to know the layout of the terminals and gates. The walk and/or ride between gates can total half an hour with many opportunities for mistakes.
- Kostiantyn DymovAugust 17, 2019There are 2 metro stations: Aeropuerto T1-T2-T3 and Aeropuerto T4 (Line 8). You can reach city center for 5.00€. In Madrid you have to buy metro card without return option for 2.50€ (rechargeable)
- German ViscusoSeptember 30, 2019If your flight departs from Terminal 4 there's a chance you have to reach the satellite part of it (gates K) so please consider you'll need 20 extra minutes to get there!
- Julia LuMarch 18, 2019The airport is huge and has a confusing set up so make sure to get there with plenty of time to spare! Also there are very few outlets to charge electronics.
- James UnderbergDecember 5, 2017Great VIP lounge for Terminal A &B with some excellent shopping - long walks to gates both arrivals and departures - clean and nice !
- Steven AmbroseMarch 6, 2019Great looking and very modern. However leave plenty time for transit as it's huge and my luggage always takes an age to arrive.
- Di PolJanuary 31, 2019Good airport. Spacious, luggage is quick, no queue at controls and passport checks. Food above average. Easy to get to.. One thing to bear in mind: it is HUGE!!! Allow plenty of time.
- Marlon CordeiroAugust 19, 2014The airport has an excellent infrastructure with good choices of shops and fast food. The wifi is only free for the first 15 minutes. To move between the terminals is so easy.
- DavidSeptember 7, 2014A lot of space. Nice shopping area (souvenirs and boutiques). Very well organized. Clean. Missing free WiFi. Customs office at Terminal 1. Tax refund after passport control.
- MuratMay 13, 202215-20 min drive away from city. Big, with 4 terminals. Flight and terminal information could be challenging to find. In general quite passanger friendly.
- Leo DW8RNovember 13, 2014Big airport. First of all, make sure you're in the right terminal, or you might not find your plane. Try to speak Spanish, it helps to make the airport staff much friendlier.
- Long walk from the subway to terminals 1, 2 and 3. Plan a good 10 minutes so you don't end up having to make a run for it
- NAugust 17, 2019There are 4 Terminals, possible to get each of them by metro. It is obliged to buy metro card to use metro, unfortunately unable to return it
- Juan Manuel OropezaJanuary 28, 2014El taxi a y desde el centro (interior de la M-30) tiene un costo fijo de 30€ / The taxi cab ride to and from the city center (inside of the M-30) has a fixed cost now of 30€
- Pedro OliveiraAugust 29, 2014The best think about the Adolfo Suárez AirPort is all the acessibility to go from here to any place in Madrid: by Train, Metro, Bus or Taxi.
- Jacob JaySeptember 6, 2013Getting from T1S to T1 is an Escher-inspired puzzle. Your goal: get to the train! The obstacles: escalators going everywhere and nowhere except customs, glass walls, & vacuum-sealed glass passageways.
- craig mcraeAugust 19, 2014Best bet on an American breakfast sandwich is at McDonald's. You're not going to get eggs anywhere else. The lounge for One World is in RSU.
- Amazing architecture, longer walk to passport control
- Use good walking shoes to avoid blisters. Switch on Strava. Km's guaranteed. When reaching your gate, grab a sandwich jamon to get your body strength back to normal. Drink enough water at all times.
- Alexander NikolovOctober 20, 2015My flight was from the T4 terminal, it is organized very well, everything was all right. But the connection to the wi-fi is very complicated and it is free for 30 minutes only.
- Sara RadakovicMarch 14, 2019The Bus ticket to city center is 5€ but they don’t respect the timetable so I really don’t recommend this option when you need to take a flight. The easiest way is to take a cab or an uber -around 20€
- Werther VeulemansJune 6, 2022Nice efficiënt Airport. Nothing too fancy, straight to the point and easy to comprehend. Customer service at Iberia counter could definitely use some improvements and extra staffing.
- Vania Yrl CarmonaSeptember 1, 2018You can go downtown for 5€ 24/7, good WiFi and clean bathrooms. It’s old and in check in areas (T1 & T2) few seats but it’s not that bad.
- T4 is absolutely lovely in terms of ambiance, seats, free wifi. Not so great options to eat/drink, unless you are a Starbucks/pret-a-manger fan.
- Lorenzo MarreroOctober 7, 2017Barajas Airport is amazing. Great restaurants, shops and modern new look.
- Juan Manuel OropezaJanuary 28, 2014Whatever you do don't buy a pre-payed sim from LeBara here, the seller is only looking to make a quick buck and rip you off, use the free 15min wifi and wait to buy one on the city
- Carl DensingNovember 8, 2013This is probably the best international airport I've visited. Modern, clean, and organized, three qualities that are missing at some airports.
- Bela SilverbrainJanuary 11, 2017Good shopping and modern infrastructure. One of my fav airports in Europe
- Ariel HermanMay 28, 2017Beautiful, modern, clean airport with good food and shopping. Unnecessarily large for the volume of flights, though.
