Interior have been improved a lot recently but exterior is kind of shame for our Munich. Munich is world classcity but we need to improve exterior of our main station too
Big station with all amenities. Lots of food places to choose from. Expectedly a lot of U, S sections pass from here. Mini market and Starbucks available. Asia hung serves great food.
It is easy, just guide yourself by destination and the Gleis. Also very helpful place if you need food or items after 8 pm or Sundays, you can find it, not cheap but available
You can shop here on Sundays, when everything else is closed in sleepy Bavaria. There is a decent choice of groceries. An organic store is available near the S-Bahn.
Located in a doggy neighbourhood. Clean, nicely structured, passenger frienfly. Many food kiosks and restaurants are available in the station and around. Beware of pickpockets, keep your stuff close.
Free to use toilets available, despite most signage directing towards paid for facilities. Free toilets can be found on the concourse above U-Bahn Line 2, in the directions of the S-Bahn.
Got in at 2AM and don't feel like finding a hostel room? You can sleep in the waiting room upstairs, as long as you don't mind the guardspoking you awake every hour to ask for your passport.
Deutsche Bahn trains are strangely long and will not wait a second even if you are 2 M away from door. Either download their app to locate your couch between numbered portions or check signs.
Regional trains (going elsewhere in Bavaria, such as Füssen/Neuschwanstein) that are far from the main trainplatforms. It’s another 10 minutes to walk to platforms 5-10 (south) or 27-36 (north).
You will never find the right way being here for the first time. Quintessence of bad navigation. Can't wait to see what will happen when construction starts
