Lady Liberty, you have seen her in many pictures but, up close and personal is different and better. Get a ticket to climb right up to the Crown, 377 steps but, oh man does the view look spectacular!

This place is awesome. Great up close views of the statue and and panorama views of Manhattan. Make sure to get tickets to the pedestal or crown in advance of your trip.

Did you know? In 1885, the dismantled Statue of Liberty arrived in New York Harbor after being shipped across the Atlantic in 350 individual pieces packed in more than 200 cases!

A must see for anyone visiting New York City. Make sure you book early and get the crown access pass so you can climb to the top.

Entering pedestal or the statue requires different access level tickets. “Crown” tickets (providing access to statue) sell out weeks in advance. “Pedestal” tickets are easier to get.

This colossal statue sits in the middle of the harbour. Originally gifted by the French, the Statue of Liberty is today a symbol of the strength of America and our open arms towards immigrants. Read more

If you have a cityPass and you'd like to go up to the top, make sure you buy tickets online before hand as they don't sell tickets on the island.

Have small bills to rent a locker if you are going up to the crown. It was $2 today and secured by a finger scan. No bags allowed and the162 stairs up are narrow. It is worth the effort.

Take the Staten Island Ferry which is free. It leaves ever half an hour and you can visit Staten Island as well. The Free ferry is located to the left of Battery Gardens Restaurant.

A best description could be half Mayor of New York that phrase he said when described his decision to give a respite for the Muslim pupils during the prayer times is "smart and respectable" solution

A fun few hours, though if you're short on time whilst in New York, you might be better not giving up half your day to climb this. Offers a break from the skyscrapers however.

It was a gift from France to the people of the US marking the centennial in 1886. A universal symbol of freedom and democracy, Lady Liberty sits on Liberty Island at the entrance of the Hudson River.

It is an absolutely must-do to reserve the pedestal entry. But, the best view is from P3, not all the way at the top at P5.

I did imagine her to be bigger, but it's worth it! Take the very first boat to Liberty Island to avoid big lines. That way you can be done with both islands before noon.

Unless you have tickets for the crown booked in advance you are fine by just taking the boat in and out to take the photo. Nothing much else to see on the island to be honest.
