I love flying out of here because it's not overwhelming, it's never super busy except around Thanksgiving, and I've flown to some great places using this airport as a starting point!Upvoted 4 weeks ago

Small airport, but hey is bigger that Pullman's so it is now my base airport. One trip and that's all you need to know the entire airport.

Love this airport. International, but home town feel. If your flight is national, 30 min is plenty early. TSA are good here too (they respect and honor opt outs, for example)

Super fast and friendly security. The whiners about pat downs should complain to their congressmen, not here on FourSquare. This is the best airport to fly out of!

Chilis is one of the best food options. Sadly its slower that snot uphill in the winter
Don't plan on TSA Precheck, they don't staff for it

Easy in, easy out. And friendly, too! Expect quite a hike if you are renting a car, though.

Be nice to the TSA agents. These are some of the friendliest around.
TSA pre opens very early for a short period of time. Most of the time you get dumped in the regular line. Needs to improve please!

If you're flight is coming in late and you're delayed, call the car rental people and let them know to stay
TSA lines are super short, never had to wait long to get through security. Food choices are limited. If you are in the old terminal it is a long walk to the rental cars. Over nice airport.
The A#*hole in the Spokane security took away the pure maple syrup, and shattered my glass Seahawk mugs, when they broke my carry-on bag! He didn't even have a new bag!!!!! Spokane TSA SUCKS!!!

SamsoniteMay 3, 2011Parking is on a "first come first served basis." However, the approximately 5,000 parking spaces only begin to reach capacity during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.
This is the friendliest airport I experienced in all my US travels.
Small enough where you don't really need to worry about long lines.
Stop at the liquor store and get some mini bottles. You can fit about 9 in a quart ziplock. TSA could care less.
Like to walk? Fly in by Alaska and pick up a rental car. Such a long walk in such a small Airport!
Be sure that you get here more than 30 minutes before your flight time. That'd the policy. Try to check in after that and they will bump you
Koni GrimsrudJune 18, 2013Don't forget to pack the Huckleberry Jam you buy in the famous flap Jack box... Airport security doesn't like it in your carry on. Ouch!
The first time I didn't ever have to wait at the southwest gate to check my bag....a great way to start the day!
Terrible TSA I fly through here several times a month and have never not had my bag searched extensively, been “randomly selected” or told I don’t have pre-check when it shows pre check on my ticket.
The ramada inn has a park and fly package, up to 21 days of parking included. Definitely worth it for very early flights.
