If you're travelling from the South Bay to downtown San Francisco, change @ Milbrae and hop across to BART which'll take you to Powell (Union Square) rather than having to take a bus @ King/Townsend.
Free Parking after 3 PM in the BART lot, weekdays and All Day Weekends. BART is now allowing CalTrain Parking during Weekday Commute hours, apparently.
Arrive early to pay for parking if riding Caltrain. There is only one machine you can use to pay for parking. Remember your stall number and bring cash.
It smells like chocolate because the Guittard chocolatefactory is nearby, making chocolate. You can walk across the street to the In-N-Out that every tourist visits on the way to the airport.
If using a Clipper card, don't forget to tag-off on the Caltrainplatform before tagging on again to go through the gates to the BART platform, otherwise you'll pay the highest amount chargeable.
Okay, southbound bart, ends at caltraim station...so it follows that if theyintendedyou to connect, the bart wouldnt miss the damn train by 2 grrakin minutes! (when theyre running 1 hr apart) bitches!
Parking for CalTrain on the West Side in the CalTrain lot is paid thru CalTrain ticketing machines, there are two on the concourse level and one on each ticketing platform. CalTrain parking is 24/7
If your NB train is coming & you are upstairs, tag-on up there to get on train car at the bottom of stairs ASAP. The boxes downstairs are too far and they won't wait unless you are ready to hop on.
Read signage and ask before trekking to other platform esp if theres construction. No escalators going down to the platforms. The elevators are slow as turtles & smell like piss because you know why.
To switch from bart to caltrain dont follow signs.. use elevator to level C -station exit...insert bart ticket u used to arrive here to exit bart st..n if u got no bal machine eats away ur ticket.
Oh Sucky "transit center". Even though Bart is delayed, the Caltrain (coming only once an hour) doesn't bother to wait, even if it means waiting 3 more minutes to allow ppl to catch their connection.
