The staff is very friendly and the service is fast. I only took a ceasar sald and it was pretty good! Every plate I saw looked very fresh and of quality. A place to try!
Salad is exquisite, but capers in salads still reveals it’s an American restaurant instead of an Italian one. (They are supposed to be added salmon on top.) Clientele mostly from the nouveau riches.
Il Fornaio began as a Milanese baking school in 1972, and first opened in the U.S. in 1981. They’ve been serving reliably delicious, quality Italian fare ever since. Just don’t forget to bring gum.
The cafe is always fast and friendly. Just make sure you're clear about what you're ordering, or they will make your order as THEY think you ordered it and it usually isn't right.
Our waiter abandoned us after the first 30 minutes so we never got the coffee we ordered and had to get the hostess to being our check. Unfortunate service but the food was good.
