The grande dame of Austin theatres is old, ornate, and awesome. Sit in the balcony for a better view of the ceiling mural, and don't forget a sweater – they like to crank the A/C.

The 1915 Vaudeville-era theater presents musicals, plays, comedians and musicians - both touring and homegrown. The Summer Classic Film Series is a great way to stay cool on hot summer nights.

Using the Paramount’s night lights as a backdrop for pics? Turn off your flash or set your camera to Night Portrait, perfect for getting good exposure of both the subject and illuminated background.

Summer classic film series is a must every year, and flix tix is the way to go. Seeing a Marx brothers film at a theater where the brothers actually performed is priceless.

It's a great theatre with great venues and historic ambiance, however know that the seats are really tight and uncomfortable for large, tall people.

Nice venue, but nearly impossible to navigate through as the corridors are so narrow—you will literally be in lines that wrap around a floor just for drinks.

Has 1,300 seats. You can be standing in a line around the corner to Brazos and still get in. For popular films don't leave gaps next to a person beside you to avoid people stepping over you.
