- Raphael LangenscheidtSeptember 29, 2015Incredible. The chefs tasting platter is the best sushi I've had in New York City. Couple it with a bottle of 'Miracle sake' and simply enjoy. Total diamond in the (not so) rough.
- This is some of the best sushi and fairly reasonable at that. Rolls are great especially the spicy crunchy salmon! They’re pretty big though so 3 rolls are fine shared by 2 if you get an app.
- Went again! Had tuna tortilla + salmon crunchy roll + fresh spring + black dynamite roll. Favs: tuna tortilla + fresh spring, then black dynamite
- You must get the tuna tortilla, lobster spring roll, dynamite roll, and the sushi platter !
- AlAnoud A AlGhunaimFebruary 23, 2022Extremely trendy, food is on point! They recommended the crispy lobster taco and their gyoza, both were really good. Sushi was so fresh it’s incredible, will be trying their rolls next time.
- Tuna tortilla great as usual. Ordered fresh spring, salmon crunch, nakamura, and momoya spicy tuna. We loved the crunchy but spicy tuna was least fav. Would double up the crunch or switch to new
- Giulia MOctober 11, 2019Always fresh!! It has become a weekly staple! Don’t miss: crispy rice, tuna tortilla, shumai, miso black cod, spicy crispy shrimp, salmon crunchy, lobster tempura, black dynamite, momoya spicy tuna

- Chelsea MurrayOctober 28, 2016They don't take reservations but it's well worth the wait and you can grab a drink while you wait. Order the following: crispy shrimp, tuna tortilla, crispy rice roll, Greenwich roll.
- AmateurConciergeFebruary 2, 2018Great value in a swanky setting. Had a giant plate of steamed veggies, a sizable miso Black cod app and a speciality roll and got out under $60 with tip. And all dishes were solid
- Clara SanchezFebruary 23, 2020No reservations but well worth the wait. Friendly staff, sleek decor, and excellent sushi. Can’t go wrong with the black cod or the crispy rice roll.
- Annie TolochinskiJune 25, 2015Oh momoya! You wouldn't realize it walking by - great sushi at great prices. You have to get the crispy rice roll.
- Sushi platter is great except want to avoid eel next time. The miso soup is a bit too salty. Lastly, the momoya roll is good but a bit on the gushi side. The dynamite roll is dynamite !!
- Angelina ZeppieriOctober 11, 2018Best sushi of my life. Get the crispy rice! Opt to sit at the bar if you’re a small party and the wait is long.
- AFAR MediaAugust 12, 2014Come before 7pm and you won't have to wait in line. (If you do get stuck having to wait, then head across the street to Bar Veloce and have them call you.) Read more
- Best Goyza in NYC, maybe the best in the world. Get it or you're a chump.
- Sharon P.November 30, 2014Well-priced, good-tasting sushi. Service was a little slow —the place was packed. Get there before 6 to avoid a wait. And get the negihama roll.
- Jessey White-CinisMay 22, 2015Solid fish, skillfully prepared. The menu has many crowd-pleasing options like crispy rice with maguro tuna, but I'd stick to nigiri. I recommend ordering scallop sushi with shiso leaf and sea salt.
- Delicious sushi, amazing service, but you'll definitely have to wait for a table. Ask for a seat at the sushi bar, so you can watch it all being made.
- Their sushi tasting is my favorite in the city! Always good, always interesting. Add in the crispy rice, and even I'm full
- Fresh, reliable sushi. Ideal for quick business lunch. They don’t accept reservations but you rarely have to wait. 🍣
- Renaud #August 9, 2018Worth the wait! Get the “Miso Black Cod” for less💰 than at Nobu’s. However the sushi is just average compared to Azabu, 15 East or Sushi Yasuda.
- Alex BosworthNovember 4, 2018Really great rolls, lots of stuff that is new and inventive and really tasty. Try a crispy rice roll
- Christin GordonJune 28, 2017one of my favorite meals in the city: crispy rice with a side of eel sauce (I ask for it without the shiitake)
- Bonnie CarpenterSeptember 9, 2014The best sushi place in manhattan. The seaweed salad is to die for and the yellowtail jalapeño is heaven. Everything was good. A bit pricy but oh so worth it
- Linda NguyenJune 8, 2014Get the spicy crispy shrimp, the dynamite roll, salmon avocado roll, and a few pieces of sake sushi. Gyoza was good but not mind blowing, it can be skipped. Great service!
- Tyler SimmonsAugust 23, 2018Some of the best sushi in the area for a reasonable cost. Spicy tuna on crunchy rice is amazingly good.
- LexiDecember 3, 2017Price to quality ratio here is insanely good. Get the eggplant w miso, the tuna tortilla, the crispy rice roll and the black dynamite roll!

- Idan DeutschMay 17, 2013Wow. I wish I hadn't taken so long to discover this place. Best crispy rice I've had outside of LA. The Greenwich roll and The Black Diamond roll are also superb.
- Ksu KJuly 14, 2015Fantastic food! Sushi melts in your mouth (let the chef pick for you), shumai is delicious and umeshu is on point! Pricey, but so worth it!
- Consistently excellent food and service. The tuna pita on the menu is a must have along with the miso cod.
- Ernesto GutierrezOctober 1, 2017What is not to like here? Eel over rice, momoya spicy tuna roll, salmon crunchy roll. Don't leave out dessert: mochi ice cream and Mille crepes

- Lindsay BrookeJune 8, 2016Eggplant appetizer with miso glaze, tuna and avocado appetizer, and all of the rolls!
- Dionysis ZindrosJanuary 6, 2017Would recommend against the crispy roll – it's less sushi and more fusion. The rainbow roll was traditional and excellent.
- Jane KatzAugust 27, 2015ugh can't speak highly enough about the chirashi lunch special. so much fresh fish on a lovely bed of soft, squishy sushi rice. DO IT🍣
- Emily WilsonAugust 31, 2017The Momoya box is the best bang for your buck, and includes the restaurant's best dish: shrimp shumai.
