Beautiful ~600 acres that seems endless, designed by the same architects of Central Park (but known as their fave!). Full of gems like the boathouse, skating rink, lakes, & great bike/running routes.

One of the best parks I've ever been too. Offers trails for running, walking and exploring! Plenty of places to stop, relax, picnic, etc. Takes a completely different pace from the rest of the area!

This park is absolutely gorgeous with many different trails for hiking. The Picnic House area is excellent for having a bbq - but you have to show up really early (7am) to secure a spot.

Have a dog? Off-leash hours for the entire park until 9 am every day. Best in the city. Don't have a dog? Come here before 9 am and play with a sea of dogs.

Vanderbilt playground has a fabulous enclosed area for toddlers with a climbing structure and water feature in the summer. Excellent big "spider web" for older kids and decent shade.

LOVE the dog beach! what a great thing for dogs to play in 😍 this park is relatively clean and is well-lit once it's dark. I feel safe on the track in the evenings. I have seen cops patrol often.

My favorite park in Brooklyn. You truly feel like you're in a different world when you visit Prospect Park. The bandshell, the zoo, the boathouse and so much more! Come here to distress, it's worth it

The off-leash hours are a dog lovers' paradise. Hundreds of happy pooches running around, while their owners chat over morning coffee. Great way to start the day!

Walk along the south shore of the lake in fall: the sugar maples are the first trees to change color, and everything is reflected in the water, doubling the spectacle.

Few people in park today, but many dogs, making my dogs very happy. Nonstop gray sky, but mild 70F all day. Home now, sated by fine nosh from park. If I eat anymore today, it’ll be only sushi/sashimi.

This is home to the Brooklynites and their refuge from everyday stress. It was also designed by Olmsted and Vaux in 1867 to be different than Central Park as the people's park to relax and recreate.
