- Crowded and a great place to eat, have a beer, and hang out with friends. Show up early to make sure you get a spot big enough for all your friends.
- Kathy HatcherJuly 23, 2013Outside seating dog friendly. The fries are fried in duck fat and are so addictive. I made the mistake of giving some to my dogs now I can't walk past there without them pulling me to grab a table.
- Serves up some of the juicest and tasty burgers in the Inland Empire! Not to mention the huge craft beer list and wine too!Oh and twice fried duck fat fries out of this world. Rib-eye also da bomb!
- Ryan LaraMay 5, 2015What isn't to like? Great beer selection. The Back Abby Burger is top-notch. I recommend getting a pretzel as an appetizer. The mussels are delicious too!
- Ryan YDecember 5, 2013The Belgian beer selection here is ridiculous-if you can't find your favorite Belgian here, you need to book a flight to Brussels. If you're not a fan of Belgian beers you'll need to drink elsewhere.
- Not a great vegetarian food selection (gotta go with their seasonal salad or the pretzel). The Belgium beer selection is amazing though.
- Mike GwaltneyJune 4, 2013Portobello Mushroom burger is a truly delicious alternative to the usual bad garden burgers for vegetarians. And the Pommes Frites rock! But take note vegetarians: they're fried in duck fat.
- Rosa JimenezOctober 31, 2014Well-- everyone knows that The Back Abbey is do good. If you're ever around the area, definitely stop by and give it try!
- Angelise SlifkinApril 5, 2016Good, for Claremont standards-great. Menu is a little small for the quality of the food, but the service and food is consistent. Nice atmosphere. Large beer selection- best in Claremont.
- Mario EstradaJanuary 26, 2015One of my favorite places on the area. Well stocked Belgian beer selection. The absolute best Belgian style fries. Cannot go wrong with anything here.
- Rayshawn WilliamsNovember 29, 2016A few words to describe the Back Abbey burger...sweet, zesty and savory. Awesome combination of flavors.
- By far the best beer bar in the area, with amazing pub style food to match. Don't know what beers to try? Ask the bartenders, they know each of them by heart. A.J.'s the best 'tender there!
- elle • geezyJanuary 27, 2013it's all about the Back Abbey Burger. man oh man.. ok, i LOVE in-n-out, but this place is a close second.. just because it's gourmet.. AND.. because of the beers, which are all magically delicious! :D
- Mimi NguyenJune 19, 2014Awesome beer selection but I always come back for the duck fat fries! Duck fat is healthiest fat you can fry with and the fries are delicious :)
- Zachariah CooneySeptember 29, 2014St Bernadas pairs well with The Back Abbey burger... excellent food with excellent Belgian Ale imports!!!! They don't have Bud Light obviously....
- Rayshawn WilliamsNovember 29, 2016The mussels are great with a beer. Very flavorful in a lemon butter sauce.
- Nina NiremaSeptember 27, 2012Best place to eat in the Village. Takes no reservations, but so worth it. Dine outside if you can! Belgian beer + best burger ever = perfect.
- Discover Claremont (Calif.)August 12, 2011The Back Abbey has a selection of over 110 different beers from around the world, including 28 on tap and a full menu. CBS2 featured their Back Abbey burger among the "best in L.A."
- Julian NamDecember 13, 2014Burger is good. No, it's great. No, it's awesome. And a TON of beer options. Thumbs up from me.
- Rebecca MJanuary 5, 2018Fries. And the frisée salad will help you feel better about yourself after you eat the fries. Sort of.

- Michael AntonioOctober 9, 2012Back Abby burger, half order of fries, then finish off with some beignets. Can't go wrong here!!
- great beer, great staff, great food. the pommes friets are amazing, but I like to check out their seasonal specials. In the fall the drunken spud soup, and the man salad are excellent.
- Sylvia VillalobosOctober 10, 2012BEER!!!! FRIES!!! = AMAZING. Also, the veggie burger was great. Fun and chill atmosphere. Younger crowd

- Darren IsomotoJanuary 30, 2012On a Saturday night, they can easily seat 2-4. Any more is a longer wait (1 hr for our party of 7)
- One of my favorite bars for Belgium beer. Famous for their 'Back Abbey burger', 2nd best burger in LA area. Don't forget to try the Pommes Frites Read more
- Medium rare is the only way to eat a burger! I recommend the Straffe Hendrik to wash that burger and frites down!
- Cristina AguileraFebruary 3, 2011The Man Salad doesn't actually come with a man, The Pub Salad was a pretty good substitute along with the Country Tomato Soup.
- Jenni RutledgeJune 30, 2011The fries are super amazing but they are fried with duck fat...beware vegetarians
- Aaron AguirreApril 21, 2012Pommes Frites are not half bad at all. Tasty snack food. No need for the sauces really, they are kinda disappointing. Just a pinch more salt and you are golden.
- Jon McConnellNovember 3, 2011Burger and fries night not be worth $19. But it is really damn good. No question. I'm sorry it took me soo long.
